Ric Flair Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 There's be some Leicester fans that would be appalled if we signed Adebayor another player with a tarnished reputation who is no way as bad as the media portray him. If Nigel was willing to take a chance on Bendtner I'd be more than happy to support him.
AyewJoking Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Nigel Pearson is reading this thread and laughing, he doesnt want Bendtner!
Guest Col city fan Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 I would be over the moon with this. For everything anyone says about him, he has talent and loads of it. If we were to sign him (which I honestly doubt is going to happen), he'll bag 20 for us. The amount of chances we create, someone like this would have a field day. 20 goals... lol Has he EVER bagged 20 for anyone? Genuine question..
Brooksy Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 If Nige can sort him out and wages aren't a problem then I'd take him.

I doubt there is a striker we can afford who will get us 20 goals in the prem.
Cat Burger Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Nigel Pearson is reading this thread and laughing, he doesnt want Bendtner! Nigel doesn't want him and he doesn't want LCFC... That's beside the point!
Babylon Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 20 goals... lol Has he EVER bagged 20 for anyone? Genuine question.. If we get someone who scores 10 we'll be lucky, let alone 20. If they do they'll sell for £20m.
Guest Col city fan Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 If we get someone who scores 10 we'll be lucky, let alone 20. If they do they'll sell for £20m. I cant believe that Betts suggested Bendtner getting 20! (Well maybe I can...) If we get/have a striker who bags us 10, we'll most likely stay up.
RizLCFC Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 If Nigel has a chat with him and sorts his attitude out, and his wage demands are realistic, I'd happily take him.
Finnaldo Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Without being entirely certain, I think he might be the sort of player who thrives on being the 'star' of the team. When he plays for Denmark, he knows everyone is relying on him to do the business and it seems to pay dividends as he puts in some great performances. I remember the 2-2 against Italy last year, where he single-handedly almost sent Denmark to the World Cup. However, there's no hiding behind the fact that he's been utter garbage for Arsenal, but IF he signs for us, I wouldn't immediately say it's a poor signing. I'd be optimistic that he'd be willing to focus on his football and hopefully kick-start his career again. On his day, he can be a real handful. Let's wait and see how this one pans out. I'd say this theory has some weight, when he was a Sunderland a couple of seasons ago he managed 8 goals in 30 appearances. Again he'd have been one of the bigger names there and if he managed 8-10 goals for us I wouldn't complain, even better if Pearson could drill some sense into him.

General Smuts Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 I can't get my head around whether this would be a great signing or an utter shambles. I kind of want him here just for comedic value but I also see he could have worth for the team.
Agent Fox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 I can't wait for Bendtner to sign for someone else, it's such a stupid rumour it's unreal. Not a player we would or should want.
ScouseFox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 he's a million times better than chamakh and he helped keep palace up last year

If we were to sign him (which I honestly doubt is going to happen), he'll bag 20 for us. The amount of chances we create, someone like this would have a field day. Considering last season only three players managed to score 20+ goals in the Prem you are being very optimistic. Like others has said, any striker of ours that scores 10 in the league would be vital on helping us survive. There's be some Leicester fans that would be appalled if we signed Adebayor another player with a tarnished reputation who is no way as bad as the media portray him. If Nigel was willing to take a chance on Bendtner I'd be more than happy to support him. That's the trouble with media portraying players and social networks. It's like a few months ago everyone was abusing Valdes as an awful keeper. Then people just jump on the bandwagon. If he took a wage cut, and concentrated on his football he will prove himself to be a good striker in the Prem getting around 8-12 goals a season. I'd take him over Ulloa that's for sure.

Out Foxed Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 not long ago he was booting apartment doors in. he's shown no signs of attempting to stop being a twat and it's not like he acts like a dickhead but does the business. High risk, marginal reward.
shen Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Well-documented off the field discipline, which has also been blown out of all proportion in several cases. The media love him, much like they love someone like Balotelli. He's a big-game player and on his day he's a great striker. He's not had the expected success at Arsenal, but he was vital for Sunderland and Birmingham during his spells there. He was injured at Juventus and was probably never considered more than a backup there anyway. I've mentioned many times now how important he's been at international level, which some have a hard time believing... In short, I think he'd be a good addition from a footballing point of view, but he'd need to get his act together off the field.

ronnup Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Very lazy to disregard him. I think he's got potential. Look at Chamack, laughed at by people who never watched him. Did a right Job for palace.
Bettsj2 Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 You do realise we are playing in the prem next season and not the championship again. You do realise that the bottom 10 teams in the prem are no better than the top 10 of the championship? We're still gonna be whippin ass. Everyone's gonna have to get used to it.

foxfanazer Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Don't fancy our chances in a 3 way battle with Barca and Real Madrid
