FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Im more exited about our last few!!!Our final 7 are all very winnable, its getter than having the top 6 spank you some for the end of your season. Going to be an absolute showpiece for our final 7 gamesVery very exited!!!!!
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 18 June 2014 Author Posted 18 June 2014 8. You consider West Ham a winnable game? Very cautious about teams who don't play football and just hoof it up in the air all the time But on the other hand, if we work on our players heading the ball away in our own box then we should be okay. but for us, thats our biggest threat which is all west ham do -Stoke being another one of those teams…..
AKCJ Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 To be fair, that start could kill us. We need to pick up some points in there.
sylofox Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Would not expect us to win them all but we should be getting point in the last 10 games. The start may not be that bad Everton Arsenal Man u and Chelski all have a lot of WC players. Some may be injured they will need a rest after TWC so will miss 2 weeks training so not a bad time to play them. Rather meet them before they get on a roll than mid season. Plus a lot of players they look to bring in will be at the world cup. The bad fixture is Everton though as we will have just played they.
WhispyWizard Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 I will say it now, if we don't pick up points against Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal or Man U and people come on here and start saying Pearson out ... get your heads examined.
BrummieFOX Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 I will say it now, if we don't pick up points against Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal or Man U and people come on here and start saying Pearson out ... get your heads examined. It will happen.
Bryn Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Best off to take the tough teams early when the momentum is with us.

Stoke have completely changed their style
CPW22 Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 To be fair, that start could kill us. We need to pick up some points in there. And I think we will. I genuinely believe we will win one of the first three home games.
Bayfox Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Good time to play chelsea, utd and arsenal with players having been at world cup. But if we are bottom early on I may have to avoid this place.

Er, yes. Norwich beat them, Fulham beat them, West Brom and Hull beat them. They are hardly an unbeatable team.

They'll be out in force regardless of whether we play well or not. Even a point or two might not be enough to keep them away.
ScouseFox Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 If we surprise a few early doors then have that run in I think we'll win the league
Dan Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 West Ham are shit. I'll be disappointed if we don't beat them at home.
Mark_w Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Good time to play chelsea. I strongly disagree, first home game for Fabregas and Costa, we're going to get battered.
fuchsntf Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Who and when we play them, shouldnt make a difference...The truth, a place in the golden PL, we fought hard for and won our right to compete in, now when it gets nearer and nearer, hope ,intrepedation, butterflies, in head and stomach, shaking, sleepless nights try to work out all possible competations, wondering whether we will get whipped in the 1st months, praying the gods will be kind to us. Girlfriends, boyfriends, Wifes, Husbands, daughter, son, dog and cat, even golfish relationships, will all be up in the air, next 10 months, will be shown if we see a baby boom in 20 months all over the shire . Weekend arguments high or low, midweek frantic with worries in getting those odd jobs done, mates at work, stays at a humouros banter, or a monday morning dread and apathy.Beer consumption statuses caused of celebration or sorrow character. Ahhh yes our ten year wait is over, but our fears and hopes and dreams, stick with us like before. will it be...Oohh I'll kill that cat, or does the wife get that new dress.
demon_dog Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Hope the Arsenal game gets moved to a Sun/Mon as I am supposed to be going to a wedding on the Sat. Have already said that the footie comes first no matter what! p.s. Shall I be first ................... Pearson out................................................................In the sunshine of course no good sitting in the stand when it's hot and sunny.
Brainy Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 So a few notes then Might be easier to play top teams first after a long summer for their WC players Our last eight games are against sides we would expect to be around us Our game vs Arsenal on the 30th sounds like the weekend after what would be their final Champions League qualifier????? Downsides are probably having to play catch up at the beginning of October after our difficult start Our last eight games being against sides around us mightn't mean much if we're already adrift at the bottom

Downsides are probably having to play catch up at the beginning of October after our difficult start Our last eight games being against sides around us mightn't mean much if we're already adrift at the bottom its all pretty relative, but our run in at the end with teams you would expect around us is a bit of a double edged sword…. we pick up points and we will leapfrog teams. drop points and we could plummet, regardless, its still going to be pretty awesome

FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 18 June 2014 Author Posted 18 June 2014 I rate Costa, but i agree, not over Lukaku. lets just hope they don't sign Futacs
Guest Bilo Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Early predictions?Everton (H) Draw Chelsea (A) Loss Arsenal (H) Loss Stoke (A) Draw Manchester United (H) Draw A very, very tough start but as long as we don't disgrace ourselves, it's survivable. A pretty damned pleasant finish to the season too from the looks of things early doors.
