SOCCERROO FOX Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 I was doing night shifts so had more time. Just sat in an empty office with the hourly patrol. Then I retired and became busy. Is that what you call it
MC Prussian Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 The world would be a more boring place without Foxestalk. You can't but love this platform for its user-friendliness and erm... interesting mix of contributors. I'd love to know where Foxestalk stands in terms of reach in comparison to other Premier League clubs' fan forums. I can only assume it is one of the more active and vibrant ones. Ten years is a ruddy good record and this place has more or less steadily improved. Keep it coming. I can't wait for the next round of moaning and groaning on here a few weeks into the new season to come.: D
MooseBreath Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 6th overall poster. but i was quiet to start. I noticed TPH posts dropped off from around 2011 but still was one of the top posters (quantity) I have more time to spare now. My mid live crisis has gone and on its way back. I do post too much though. You are all part of my extended family. Even Moosebreath He makes the rest of you more loveable. You've made me feel very upset there ken.
Collymore Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 I must hold the record of topic starts relative to total posts? can you do a table Mark just so I can be at the top of one!!!? 😁
cambridgefox Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 More like the boring one's who are over the age of 30, and going through mid life crisis.30 midlife crisis!don't live in Glasgow,I think you take the stick fairly well to be honest, but you are getting angrier.Does anybody else get withdrawal symtoms after a day?
Finnegan Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Remember our feud that summer and you chicken out of the football match on vicky park ? Ask MTWG, he witnessed it. Pipe down, Ash, you still owe Mablo twenty quid.
Grandad. Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Remember our feud that summer and you chicken out of the football match on vicky park ? Ask MTWG, he witnessed it. What football match did I chicken out of? I didn't play v Bentleys Roof that was it. Or are you mistaking me for yourself where you failed to turn upto a Charity Football game v Talking Balls at St Andrews, where you promised everyone you were going to turn up. Instead of MTWG witnessing what you have created in your head, ask the 25+ plus members on here who witnessed you not turning up, Ash.
Finnegan Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 How many games vs talking balls were there? I went to one that went to pens. It was awful, I had literally just got back to Leicester after a twenty four hour drinking sesh. Hanging out of my arse with no sleep, about the roughest I've ever felt. Started off up front with LD3, not sure I touched the ball before taking myself off after fifteen minutes (tops.) Lasting memory of overhearing someone pipe up with "I thought he was supposed to be fast." Thanks whoever that was. Painful, painful day.

Beat them again pretty convincingly this time. That penalties game was brilliant, probably the closest game I have played in, in a FT game. Never lost! Sparky still won't forgive me for not taking a penalty!
Hugo Sanchez Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 I remember the one you're on about albert and I was supposed to play up front with lildave. What happened is the night before I was struck down with food poisoning and spent 3 days bed recovering.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 I don't think it's any coincidence my work has suffered looking at my stats over the last two years. Really have to make an effort to do less on here looking at that! Soon you'll be out on the streets giving interviews to Ken. "Gerrowww I used t'b reshpecked, I was the big mishter. Bagherup donermeat fazakerly! Don't do that FoxesTalk Hammondankle! Lookame! LOOKAME!!" <cries uncontrollably as Ken pees on him>
foxfanazer Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Another one, who judges a person on what they post on a forum. You watch from next season onwards, my in depth analysis will shock the Foxestalk community. Nobody cares enough to be shocked by your 'in depth' rubbish
Phube Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Wooo Hoooo I made a list... Probably half were Nintendo related as well! Might start a new topic to celebrate!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Only game I ever played in was that Overs / Unders a few years ago (League One I think) where I had Shaun and Maybes tapping me up on the back of my Zanetti like display at full back. Signed for Sileby Athletic and was absolutely out of it every Sunday morning leading to some displays I'm not proud of and the ignominy of committing two foul throws in one game, I just loved my Saturday nights in Liquid too much. Lasted about two weeks, what a disgrace. Felt like the white Ali Dia. Remember our feud that summer and you chicken out of the football match on vicky park ? Ask MTWG, he witnessed it. Haha, don't get me involved! Although what a feud that was.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 3 July 2014 Posted 3 July 2014 Wooo Hoooo I made a list... Probably half were Nintendo related as well! Might start a new topic to celebrate! If posts in the old live chat counted, we would be 6 figures in posts by now.
aussie-fox Posted 3 July 2014 Posted 3 July 2014 i've been here since 2004. don't post much but i would lost without this forum. check it many times each day
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 July 2014 Posted 3 July 2014 I've been unemployed, a part timer or retired during that time, what excuse does everyone else have? 2005-2008 I had an office job that actually didn't require me to do anything hardly at all. It was great, apart from the pay. 9-4 on here everyday.
stez Posted 3 July 2014 Posted 3 July 2014 Interesting the massive drop in posts in 2009. Did daggers really bore everyone that much? Started to spike again pretty much as soon as him and the old school moved on. Might be football related of course. Certainly mobile Internet related for me. But can't help but think a certain handful of posters almost ruined the forum for a minute there.
stez Posted 3 July 2014 Posted 3 July 2014 I actually meant a sad face at being the old school Rather than ph34r
Mark Posted 3 July 2014 Author Posted 3 July 2014 10 years ago today actually. We'd recently been relegated, had a squad of players I couldn't identify with and a manager who was signing anyone going over the age of 30. During the previous season I and some other members posted on Leicestershire.com (anyone remember that?!) which later became talking balls sports forum. I thought we could do with a dedicated lcfc forum and put the idea to the webmaster of tb but he wasn't keen so I ended up setting the site up myself with no knowledge at all! It started well for the first week until I thought I could successfully upgrade the forum, I pressed the big red button and lost the lot - didn't make any backups . So we started it up all over again (hence my 11 July join date), wasn't easy that first year there were quite a few other alternatives which people preferred (tb, rivals and the official lcfc messageboard). Alot of credit must go to Scowy cobbo, ric flair, ricey though as they joined the forum from tb not only to post but help moderate and write articles for the site, and davieG of course who joined a few weeks after. Without them the forum wouldn't have got up and running nevermind what it is today.
Mark Posted 3 July 2014 Author Posted 3 July 2014 Yes. https://web.archive.org/web/20030812095108/http://www.leicestershire.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=3
Babylon Posted 3 July 2014 Posted 3 July 2014 I dread to think how many hours have been wasted on here, if I'd put that time to better use I could probably speak fluent mandarin by now or be a classical pianist. Instead I chose to read shit by Kingfox.
