To still see Joachim's 1996 £1.5m on that list exemplifies how infrequently we've needed to 'hang on' to any of our players. This current squad feature many players who'd achieve fees to eclipse many on that (due in equal part to ability and inflation) and who would be wanted by 'bigger' sides, it is quite refreshing to have players that other people want. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/page/recordtransfersout.php

He is the only player that spent more time sitting on his backside then he did on his feat he was soo lightweight for a big bloke he would get pushed off the ball soo easy by the smallest of defenders. I actually saw him trip himself over by standing on his own laces. he wasn't worth £10 so Liverpool got robbed.

The worse thing was you could see it was day light robbery as it happened, it's not always obvious at the time with most transfers and only hindsight educates. This was Nigel's biggest error as manager IMO. It cost us dearly with the only winner being Big Nige's ego.
