Esteban Cambiasso

Never my intention bud. I genuinely post it how I see it. Dan's response was considered, thus worth commenting on. Some are funny. Fleckneymike usually has me laffin. Others are almost childish. As I said, like a playground, almost siege mentality.

Tis how it is... I believe in what I'm writing or I wouldn't write it.

The problem is Col, that certain people like to have a victim. Akin to a flock of vultures, but with considerably less mentality, they thrive as a collective bunch of scavengers, picking the meat out of other peoples posts. Most of them are probably day patients in various psychiatric units, which effects their inability to comprehend another persons point of view.

Mind you, some are sneaky, and love to trawl the depths of past posts, which is so boring, yet quite laughable, in a sad sense.

Why do you have to be from another club? The majority of Colin's posts are just that...

Another example..

Give us some footballing opinion of your own for fooks sake..

Col, quick question. Would you be happy knowing that your endless drivel about QPR would lead to a large number of Leicester fans wishing they'd been eradicated by serial killers like Fred West or atrocities like the Potters Bar crash rather than read this muck? I'm genuinely at the end of my tether. It's easier for fans who aren't mods.

SAY NO TO COL!!!!!!

You are quite correct of course.

I kinda thrive on it though DT. Genuinely, I gain more enjoyment from debating (so to speak) than simply following or siding. The shame is it gets nasty at times. Funny is fine. I can laff with the best of em, but when it gets personal, it gets tiresome and all unneccessary.

From the man who labeled anyone pro-Pearson a 'Happy Clapper' little over a year ago. I agree it is tiresome, but you brought it on yourself when you alienated a decent chunk of the forum. Stop being a hypocrite and get used to it.

So basically what we've learnt to today is that most Leicester fans think a 34 year old midfielder who's been at the top of the European and international stage for over a decade, who played quite often for Inter last season, would be good signing to compliment our young midfield. We've also learnt that Col is either an argumentative, contrary pillock, who just like to go against the grain to annoy everyone, or he's not got a clue about football.

Lee Cattermole!!!!!! lol lol lol!!!! Seriously? The only benefit of signing him is getting half his wages back in fines for red cards! The guy could start a fight in an empty room, tackles so late their in the next match, and to top it off isn't really that good at actually playing football. He's not a patch on Cambiasso, even at the age Cambiasso is now. In fact I reckon Cambiasso at 40 would be a better option.

I feel that I should defend Col somewhat here. Aside from the fact I'm not keen to somebody being ganged up on, the point he makes isn't as ridiculous as it sounds. The more you say Cattermole over Cambiasso, the funnier it gets lol but Col was just stating an opinion and didn't deserve the merciless slaughter he received.

BUT Cambiasso hasn't been playing right at the top for a few years now and he's hardly lit it up in recent times. Its an awful lot for a player of his age when you consider that he's not being targeted but any of Europe's big clubs (Valencia have chronic financial problems that won't go away so that's holding them back). Its not half as good or exciting signing as people are making out. He was obviously a world class player and has won pretty much everything in the game but he's never been the glamour player we crave. Surely a younger, more acclimatised player would be a better option so is Cattermole that ridiculous? Not really.

BUT Cattermole is a thug. He was a player I wanted to like for a few years but he's never changed and for a player who has been playing Premiership football for near a decade, he's not really improved. Plus he's meant to be a complete tool. Who would you rather learn from and play alongside? Cambiasso. Pearson far more likely to go for the wise head.

I'd agree with the ridicule if you said you wouldn't take a player like Ronaldinho because he never needed to run anyway so his legs going makes little difference. He'd be the greatest player to ever play for this club...

... Oh wait...  :sweating:

I tried to help Col but there's only so much 1 man can do!

For anyone thinking Cambiasso can't cut it at Premier League level and that he is only getting worse, I would like to direct your attention to his fellow countryman and Inter affiliate, Javier Zanetti.

Zanetti played on the highest level up until the age of 40 (!).

I bet Cambiasso has another three good years in him.

Ah but Javier was a god like Maldini

What we've learnt from today is the level of hostility that comes when one person disagrees with the consensus, argues their corner and doesn't back down. Also responds to piss-taking rather than shirking away from it, then gets slammed for so doing.

Whether it be Sven, Beckford, QPR or Esteban bloody Cambiasso I've continued to suggest that things may not be as clear cut as people make out AND generally tried to do so with a degree of humility and a sense of humour.

But enough is enough. I don't want to be a part of it no more.

So I'm off.

I hope that City do well this season and, as I've maintained, they are given time by us fans and this forum. To all those who have responded to some of my ideas and opinions with some agreement, debate and pleasantry, I thank you.

Adios amigos. Take care all.

"@lcfcawaydays_: Argentinian source says, Cambiasso has signed a 1yr deal with Leicester. #LCFC"

What's the source?

Argentinian source is a meaty number with notes of cocaine. Good shit!

Posted

The source they've used is a Twitter account called @mundo_D who have 76.6k followers and the story seems to say that we've signed him initially for a year with an option of a second year.

IF true... WE ARE MASSIVE!!!

That was a great and flamboyant final call for help.

However, something tells me you'll be back, anyway.

I'll continue to discuss alternatives to mainstream mentality and to reply to piss-taking. I'm neither phased by it or influenced by it. Never have been.

So, so embarrassing.
