So excited! About to leave the south west of England to make our way to Leicester! Watching the game today, curry out tonight, then showing the mrs Rothely station, Braggy park and Swithland Reservoir on Sunday. This is going to be a great weekend!

Morning all.  I can't have been the only one to dream today's events - I'm hoping it's not a premonition though because we lost a damp squib 2-1 last night with the goal coming at the end, already 2-0 down.  And in case anyone's still interested in my potential latent clairvoyancy, I weirdly also got a sneak peek at Liverpool's match tomorrow - Lambert scores twice in a 3-0 victory.

Just about to leave Sydenham for Holiday Inn. Meeting an old Leicester school friend who's come over from Northern Ireland just for the game. A really lovely day lined up. Stoked for the match already!

Roberto Martinez has high hopes that both Kevin Mirallas and Romelu Lukaku will play some part in todays game against Leicester.


But whoever plays will have a tough task against newly promoted Leicester.


Roberto said: "They are closer than I thought they would be. I didn't expect them to be ready for Saturday at all but the way they've been working and the desire they've shown makes it hard to count them out. It's hard to say how they'll be involved but I have an open mind after I watched them in the last two sessions."


"Sometimes you get teams promoted on top of a very good year but they've had two good seasons and have been consistently wining games comfortably. You can tell from pre-season they're carrying that feel good factor from promotion. We'll have to match that. It'll be an incredible atmosphere but we'll have to be on top."


 "I'm delighted with the squad we have. The board and the chairman have been instrumental in providing the continuity we have. The work we've done in retaining key players and bringing in hungry young players like Mo Besic and Christian Atsu has been great.


"We won't stand still and say we're happy with what we've got full stop because that's not our way of working but I am delighted how we've done in pre-season."

I can't hack this. Been up since 7. Too excited to sleep. Been looking at pictures of Peter Canero all morning to calm myself down. En route now and found the only 3 scousers in St Albans. I need a pint sharpish.

All I want is a good performance. I'm not asking much.
