65RosesFox Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere else, apologies if it has. However after Albrighton's injury today and with Knockaert looking like he'll be out for a few weeks, surely we need to sign another Winger? There's no question in the quality of our three wingers however I'm not feeling comfortable going into Saturday's game with potentially one fit out and out Winger.
foxfanazer Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 I can definitely see one coming in, possibly a loan deal. Somebody like Gnabry or Suso would do nicely
Devonfox1884 Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 We needed another winger before the injury's, now another winger is an absolute must.
CKB Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 I just hope this isn't the start of some injury hell for Albrighton, he's been plagued abit in his career already
kingfox Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Today one thing we looked like we were lacking was a bit of pace in attack, but pace being through the middle and not out wide. I think we were crying out for a creative spark, who's quick on the ball and links up fast with team mates, Knockaert when back from injury could be that player, but I thought we were missing a real quality "Number 10" role sort of player, and not a winger. Yes Knockaert is injured, Albrighton we don't know the full extent yet, but injuries or no injuries I thought we looked good on the wing today, Schlupp did well enough, while Mahrez looked very lively. Will Vardy be fit enough for next week? If people want a winger, I'd like a winger who is capable of playing in the middle as well, like we've got with Knockaert already.

Fox92 Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 We aren't going to get someone in on loan from another Premier League club. Nigel has already said this. When you consider how much we'd have to pay in a loan fee, it just makes more sense to buy a player instead. In which, Redmond is a great shout.
stulcfc Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Any one know how long knockaert's expected to be out for ?
lgfualol Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 If we dont get a winger we ****ed. If I see GTF playing on the wings in the Prem I'll pass out.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Neither of the injuries are serious If we dont get a winger we ****ed. If I see GTF playing on the wings in the Prem I'll pass out. Eh?

m4DD0gg Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Did we not have another winger before we sold him....
benpicko Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 2 out of 3 wingers already injured and we'll be without the other one for part of the season so yes
Leicesterpool Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Zaha didn't really do much in his loan spell at Cardiff last season, but can Nigel get the best out of him at Leicester? What does everyone else think. Zaha on loan.
MHC Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 I can't see Pearson signing another winger until January when Mahrez will be off on international duty, assuming Knockaert and Albrighton aren't long term injuries. Schlupp is very capable of filling in the void left by these two for a couple of weeks.
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Tbh we Deffo need wingers now the Injury's have started mounting before life back in the prem, loans would prob's be best as cover, I'm getting slightly concerned with the lack of movement of transfer dealings, I thought we was going to have some great signings turn up we have a very small squad for the prem, I'm just hoping that with the start of the season and the teams we are up against we will have a sufficient squad to do the business, why we haven't asked for zaha or Townsend, maybe even janazai ( if not in utds or spurs plans ) on loan is beyond me, why we haven't required the services of a new left back and central defender is baffling me also, I always say I trust NP but when we sell wood on the cheap without loaning him out first is utter crazy, I understand we are not a massive club ( YET ) but we are more than capable of getting the transfer targets a lot of people have put on this forum, however lets look forward to this new season back in the prem, I really hope the hard work we have put back in over the past 5 years doesn't go to waste and we break sheep shaggers record :-/
Clever Fox Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Bourke always seemed to play well against us for Brum. Or swap Wood for McManaman with Wigan. Or Wood for Sako with Wolves.
Daz93 Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Did we not have another winger before we sold him.... ...do you mean Ben Marshall? If you mean Lloyd, he went on a free by his own choosing.
Raw Dykes Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 It's not so bad to have a few injuries now, while the transfer window's still open. Plus, if I was told there'd be injuries, and I had to decide when I wanted them, I would have said now, while we've got a nightmare fixture list that most people are not really expecting anything from anyway. With a bit of luck, we'll have players coming back from injury and a slightly bigger squad in time for the less daunting-looking matches.
kingfox Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Zaha, Redmond, McManaman & Sako We need to look further a field, e.g Wissam Ben Yedder, Mohamed Elyounoussi or an ambitious swoop for the next Eden Hazard.
