Jimothy Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 Austria were in euro 2008. Didn't qualify though
Soar Fox Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 So it's gone from never qualifying for a tournament to world cups not counting

Wymsey Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 King in the team again. Hope he doesn't be invisible for the team.

Guest ttfn Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 He would have buried that 5 years ago. First touch wasn't as good as it could have been. I don't know if it's Israel looking shit but Wales look shit hot here - they look better than England have for ages and we're only 10 minutes in.

To be fair the pitch is a vast difference to last night! I don't like England's sluggish build up play though one bit. It always results in us seemingly making hard work of things
Matt Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 Great atmosphere at this Wales game I don't know why it isn't being played at the Millennium Stadium though. The commentator said they'd be able to fill the stadium (Cardiff City Stadium) out, 3 times, I'm not sure that is true and think it was more a figure of speech but no doubt about it i'm sure they could have sold alot more tickets so why not play at the Millennium and sell more seats? Unless they're saving that for the Rugby World Cup - But then England Rugby played a Twickenham yesterday and Leicester are playing at home next week so that's abit of a weak excuse if it is the reason.
Dan Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 How on earth do you go from a spot kick from the World Cup final to this in 14 months? He would have buried that 5 years ago. Thought the same. Israel are negative but Wales have played some really nice stuff. Intelligent play.
Finnegan Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 Israel playing with eight defenders. This is going to be a long afternoon.
ScouseFox Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 id probably kill myself if i supported a nation capable of making football this boring. thank god britain still has england to represent us at the top table.
Finnegan Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 Implying England aren't boring lol lol lol o my days
ScouseFox Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 tbf this would be a well better game if bale was playing
Finnegan Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 He's just relaxing and saving himself for his 88th minute winner.
BoyJones Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 Well that was underwhelming. Apart from Kingy's chance and the follow up header, Wales don't seem to know what do do. All very pedestrian. Bale needs to show some interest second half, feel sorry for crowd, nothing to really cheer so far.

I'd guess that the venue was decided not long after the draw for the qualifying rounds when everybody was still assuming this would be the wooden spoon match.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 What the **** has happened to Holland? It is remarkable, they look like they aren't even going to qualify and it is even easier than ever to get through with the extended format...
The Year Of The Fox Posted 6 September 2015 Author Posted 6 September 2015 They're far more enjoyable to watch than England
filbertway Posted 6 September 2015 Posted 6 September 2015 In Bale's defence, when the team seems to want to pass the ball along the back four for 20 minutes there's not much he can do about that. Wouldn't mind seeing him tackle one of them and try and get an attack going though. Only still watching this because I've got wales in an acca and Bale anytime/Wales win as a single.
