smudger63 Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 As I say, judging by the remarks of his agent last night, plus what has since been reported overnight, it is looking very likely that this will be happening ahead of Arsenal as was hoped earlier this week. So, IF everything goes through as planned, what a coup for us. Ok, it won't be like watching him in his prime but wow! well he wont have had a proper pre season, certainly wont be match fit, so i wouldn't expect him to start games for a few weeks.
Collymore Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 well he wont have had a proper pre season, certainly wont be match fit, so i wouldn't expect him to start games for a few weeks.True. I do get the feeling he could step in with no match fitness and still do a job though....
Ashley Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 True. I do get the feeling he could step in with no match fitness and still do a job though.... Indeed however he's been at one of the best clubs in the world fitness will better than our players. He will lacking match sharpness/fitness if you can call it that.
phildw Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 4 days to go and SSN still not mentioning anything at all for LCFC. Alvarez to Sunderland though so there's another one missed. It's going to be deadline day frenzy and City mopping up the cast offs!
LanguedocFox Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Jonny you are fast becoming my fav FT poster ! Man crush Well, if you can't even spell his fvckin name properly, it's not much of a crush. Just sayin'
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 This transfer needs to end for no other reason than I actually had a dream that he snubbed us for Empoli last night.

It's going to be deadline day frenzy and City mopping up the cast offs! Why do you have the feeling we're "missing out" on players? Can you fathom a scenario where the club actually has been and still is in talks with players over a prolonged period of time and maybe close to announcing a definite transfer? As for "cast-offs": Erm, yeah. Sure.

tyneside fox Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Wrong Alvarez I think, wasn't the 1 we were linked to a free agent?
Callabinho Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 FabrizioRomano : Esteban Cambiasso has chosen no to a club of La Liga, yes to Leicester. Play in the Premier . From 20 yesterday in England, today and signature views Italian journalist. Sky sports I think.
Thracian Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 I wish I'd never seen mention of Cambiasso. Weeks back it seemed a good idea but the money earmarked for his signing could have been well used by now and the whole protracted effort has set us back considerably or even worse. Our squad should have been effectively in place by now.

Our squad should have been effectively in place by now. I think there's still plenty of time, and really, despite all the fuss, it would still be an absolute class signing! I think some (including me) have lost sight of that through all the BS that's happened around the deal.

Our squad should have been effectively in place by now. Do you genuinely think we've put the majority of our resources into just this one player in the last 2/3 weeks? I can't see it myself, it almost seems to me that we've left it with him and he's taken a few weeks to mull it over.

Webbo Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 I'm sure Pearson wouldn't play an unfit player because of the risk of injury.
ollielcfc Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 From Yahoo Sport Italy Twitter - #Calciomercato LIVE #Cambiasso al Leicester, oggi dovrebbero arrivare visite mediche e firma http://yhoo.it/1qyetSx Basic translation is that Cambiasso is expected for medical and should sign today... Jace Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Anyone else getting de ja vu? Feels like I am trapped in time with the same week reoccurring over and over, the only thing that changes each time is Cambiasso gets older

pazzerfox Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 There is still no concrete word from any reputable source in this country, so until then, let's keep it in our pants and wait until he's holding that shirt up...or not as the case may be.
