I think people are still scarred from the Levein days.

I'm still having therapy, I wake up seeing his face with that stupid cap on top of it. Those were bleak times.

Not sure why anyone is being accused of being impatient:

We got promoted over four months ago and we're leaving it until the last few days of the transfer window to get the deals done.

How do you know that it is us holding up the deals?? Maybe the selling club is awaiting a replacement and the knock on effect it has on other clubs. Madrid were patient with Spurs over Bale.

In every case??

We're a couple of days away from the deadline and now at risk of panic buying because we didn't do our business early enough .... And I'm shocked by that, because at the time NP was delighted to be promoted early to get that business done early!!

I don't know the reasons, just like all of us I'm just giving my opinion on what I see .... but what I see is a disturbingly thin squad struggling to sign players with the clock ticking!!

The only person panicking is you. Do you honestly think the club leaves things to chance?

When people were moaning at the lack of signings back in June most people on here were saying "don't panic we've got 2 months left yet worry in August if we've not bought anyone"

Well we're now 4 days away and still haven't made a signing since Ulloa on July 22nd. Yes we might have lost out on a couple of potential signings but since we had a head start on everyone as we were promoted so early we should have had 2,3 or 4 other alternatives to pursue.

Something has seriously gone wrong in the planning of this transfer window and it needs looking at.

I just hope it doesn't come back to haunt us in May 2015 if we've been relegated and the owners, manager, DOF think "what if we just spent that little bit extra on so & so player"

This is in Wigan's local press today (Wigan Today)

JAMES McArthur looks set to join Leicester City after Latics accepted a bid for their star player.

The midfielder was today (Wednesday) heading to the midlands club to discuss personal terms ahead of the move for a fee believed to be around the £7m mark.

Which is less than 10% through the season.

Surely the 'business being done early' he was referring to the free transfers as they would of got snapped up straight away.

The fact we got

Hamer (played really well at Charlton)

Barmby (very promising youngster)

Upson (Brightons player of the season and bags of experience)

Albrighton (Plenty of experience with possibly his best years still to come)

before they were snapped up by others was good business.

Now the problem is teams are waiting for that first team to make a move to start the merry go round of transfers happening. Im sure come deadline day we will have a couple more players to boost the depth of our squad. You'll see, come monday 11pm i truly believe we will have some happy and excited LCFC fans

So what happens on Monday when all of our new signings are confirmed. Your panic stricken responses will look very very foolish.

Percy now saying a bid was accepted, Wigan went back to discuss payment plans but have received no response.

It just got accidentally sent to the spam folder, which, if they're anything like me, they won't get round to checking for several days.
