I'm told he's signing today along with Kane from Spurs (loan with view to perm).

Pearson is also considering a move for Puncheon at Palace, given his relationship with Warnock. I don't understand why to be honest , we have enough cover in the wide areas.

Explain how we have enough cover when it comes to wingers? We have 4 if counting Schlupp, two of whom will be gone in January

Well he is the fvcking owner of Wigan, his word has more credibility than journos and twitter ******.

 

see now I'm with you on this, I understand he may want to play games to get a better deal etc, but if he says something regarding a player at his club I am inclined to believe him over internet sources, as he has the final say on wigan.

 

it is interesting and very strange that there are so many conflicting reports around this morning though.

What a load of rubbish. McArthur will be a Leicester player before the Arsenal game, and Cambiasso probably will be too. It could mean that there is something in the Andy King going to West Brom rumour.

Or, more likely, we just want to have a lot of cover in an area where we are suffering with injuries.

I don't think the club and Nige especially would use a player only to drop him to force another to sign. I just don't think NP would treat a player like that.

Always knew it would be difficult for us to operate in this transfer window, although I didn't think it'd be this bad to be fair. If we manage to get a defender, a striker and a centre mid through the door before the window closes, then I think we'll have done ok to be honest. 

 

Hopefully in January, we'll be in a stable position in the league and we can start recruiting with an eye on next season. I can't blame players for not wanting to join when we're a completely unknown quantity in the Premier League.

Am I the only one who thinks 'moron' ever time I read a post opening with the lines "I'm told". I don't know what these people did before social media attention.

 

Think he'll be a great signing anyway. Energy and work rate is what a lot of play is about, and he seems to have that in abundance, with a bit of quality to boot. Hopefully this one comes off.

From what I've seen, I believe they refer to Scottish Football in general, not the players.

Embarrassingly impatient. These things take time.

 

I'm not impatient.

 

Mixed reports is called taking the piss.

 

Getting our hopes up one minute by seeing a bid accepted, then the next day we get told reports are false.

 

Therefore it's a massive joke.

Another victim of the Cambiasso trilogy maybe.

How simple was this one to get over the line? Whelan tells everyone its a done deal. But still we wait....

Now speculation around that the bid was just a ruse or fall back to get Cambiasso to hasten up his decision making.

And all these people that come on here to slate posters for being too impatient.

What will they be saying come 11pm 1st sept and we are in much the same position squad wise.

Oh well done TR for being prudent through the summer.
