Guest Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Think people are getting carried over Andy king. I like him and think the prem week suit him but he has done absolutely nothing over the last three years to suggest a worth above the likes of this guy. Not saying he won't, just that he hasn't.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 He was definitely at the club yesterday and had his medical, so I don't see how he can have done that unless a fee has been agreed. This will be Whelan or someone at leicester leaking a story to try and gain something out of it. Was he?
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Get it over bloody line FFS, and Cambiasso while your at it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fox 4 Life Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Yes definitely And another "ITK" appears out of thin air. I can't wait until this fookin transfer window is shut
Fox 4 Life Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Although it does make you wonder if Cambiasso is coming and the rejected bid story has come from our side. Risky move if so as Cambiasso has changed his mind enough times already we could look very stupid if this backfires
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 I'm not 'ITK', I occasionally get bits of info - but I got this yesterday and where it has come from is 100% reliable. He was definitely there, and definitely had his medical.
teblin Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 http://www.wigantoday.net/sport/wigan-athletic/whelan-rosler-will-get-mcarthur-funds-1-6809085 Seems to contradict the mercury.
shilton_fox Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Wigan news posted 25minutes ago they expect it to go through.. Strange the amount of conflicting stories
Grey Fox Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 GeoffPetersTalkSPORT @talkSPORTgeoff 23s #LCFC have NOT had a bid for James McArthur accepted by Wigan, contrary to reports. Cambiasso looking positive, unlikely to sign both. My heads gonna explode. If the above is correct, perhaps we were lining up McArthur just in case Cambiasso fell through? We could have agreed a fee in principle and told them we will let them know if we want to go ahead later in the week. If it now looks like we will sign Cambiasso after all, maybe we have decided to hold off on this? I think the BBC got way ahead of themselves, and now they are leaving a lot of fans feeling disappointed. Well done Geoff in trying to keep people calm yesterday, even if most people didn't listen.
matty98 Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 The article in the Mercury has no quotes from anyone, however we have quotes from Dave Whelan saying a deal is agreed, if the Mercury actually knew anything they'd have quotes.
Ricey Posted 28 August 2014 Author Posted 28 August 2014 Total guesswork, but could it be the club telling local sources (Geoff Peters and the Merc) that a second bid has been rejected in order to keep things ticking along with Cambiasso and not risk jeopardising that?
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Surely if the Cambiasso deal doesnt come off, which let's face it, it's been delicate to say the least, and we didn't get McArthur, we'd be screwed, so it kinda makes sense. I do think we'll have an exit tho if Cambiasso is signed too. If its King or Hammond, then they have just significantly increased their price tags through their recent performances which means hopefully good business! Enjoy what ? the relegation through lack of investment ?
mozartfox Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 It would probably be f**king easier to buy players from fellow prem clubs. Probably not, but France and a host of other European Countries for sure YES. There are teams that are now out of the Champions League after last nights play-offs - some might need some cash right now? Where is our scouting network? On holiday until 2nd September, 2014 may be?
johnny the fox Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 WTF is going on???????? Indecision is final..
AKCJ Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 I like how you all took Dave Whelan's word as gospel.

Thegr8Lynex Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 I'm told he's signing today along with Kane from Spurs (loan with view to perm). Pearson is also considering a move for Puncheon at Palace, given his relationship with Warnock. I don't understand why to be honest , we have enough cover in the wide areas.

You mean Kane, who is involved in every first team game at spurs? Good one mate.
Kitchandro Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 I like how you all took Dave Whelan's word as gospel. Well he is the fvcking owner of Wigan, his word has more credibility than journos and twitter ******.

That could be true. But if so it's hardly going to get the relationship between the club and Cambiasso off to the greatest of starts. "Congratulations on eventually joining us Esteban. BTW, that story you read about the McArthur deal being off. It was complete bollocks just to con you in to signing as well. See you at training tomorrow"
