5waller5 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Is this signing confirmed then?? Everyone's talking like it's a done deal??? If it is then great ..... a quality addition in an area of weakness ..... 3-4 more and we'll start to look like we have a squad capable of coping with the season!
dmayne7 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Got a mate whose a massive Bees fan, he's gutted their losing Forshaw.. Said he was their best player in a season where he was massively injured. What does that mean? Did he lose a couple of limbs and an eye?
Corky Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 I can't work out whether ealingfox is serious or doing a parody of someone.
johnny the fox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2735937/Wigan-midfielder-James-McArthur-talks-Leicester-City-Wigan-accept-bid.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 don't know if this has been already posted.. but Im very proud of our club, even Dave Whelan thinks we do things the right way... #credability
Haydos Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Telegraph have reported bid accepted and medical on its way. Not sure if it's new or earlier in today.
BrummieFOX Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Lets not forget, a lot people thought Hammond wouldn't be good enough for this league in the summer. Two games in and he's part of an impenetrable midfield 4.

elangLCFC Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Jordan Blackwell @JrdnBlackwell Follow In tomorrow's Leicester Mercury, we have some fresh, perhaps surprising info on the James McArthur transfer... #lcfc
BrummieFOX Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Impenetrable? !I don't mean when they are playing. I mean people are acting as though DD/James/King/Hammond are now nailed on as our 4 midfielders and we don't need anyone else following 2 performances from King and Hammond.
johnny the fox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Best thing is, it pisses off Dyche. the up side is ..it gives the ginger cant something else to moan about..
HowardsBulletHeader Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Jordan Blackwell @JrdnBlackwellFollow In tomorrow's Leicester Mercury, we have some fresh, perhaps surprising info on the James McArthur transfer... #lcfc Is it that he's actually passed a medical and signed at the first rumour of it happening?

Robin JD Popley Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Jordan Blackwell @JrdnBlackwell Follow In tomorrow's Leicester Mercury, we have some fresh, perhaps surprising info on the James McArthur transfer... #lcfc Purely speculative again but could be one of the following... a) We jumped the gun as Geoff said and Dave Wheelan wasn't being completely honest, b) may be that there is a swap deal involved as part of it or, c) something as nominal as who told him to join us, i.e. Waggy (although I doubt that is the case). EDIT - Just noticed that BrummieFox also highlighted what I said in Point B after I'd posted. Probably the most likely out the 3 to be honest.

I think the wording suggests something fairly innocuous.
ImBlue Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 So would I. If fit, I'd expect James/Drinky to start. Or Cambiasso if we ever sign him. I don't. I think we are underestimating the lad or overestimating our own. I expect he will start ahead of James as I believe he has more experience and is a better player currently. I think it's an excellent acquisition and one that will impact the first 11.
Max Power Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 There is also the theory that the James injury might be more serious than they've been letting on...
STUHILL Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 So potentially we have Drinkwater, James, KIng, Hammond, McArthur and Cambiasso all for the CM positions? That is a lot of quality CM's to try keep happy!! Rate McArthur highly so wouldn't be that disappointed now if Cambiasso didn't join us Prefer to get another defender and a striker or wide player

I think you're underrating James there. He was a big player for a better side that Wigan last season. He's less experienced because he's younger, and that comes with more potential to develop. He strikes up a great partnership with Drinkwater and has looked a class act for us. Central midfield is our strongest part of our best 11, it's one of the cornerstones of us at our best and a crucial part of our promotion. McArthur will not be certain to start - competition will be fierce.

Bamba's Babes Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Hammond has played very well this season but his history suggests he is on form but won't be able to sustain it. Cambiasso and McArthur will be utilised away from home with James and King favoured at home. Drinkwater will be a constant.
