Why the hell does it matter if any of us prefer a player in a position or would rather strengthen in a certain area? Have people on this forum taken us up from the Championship? Have they been involved in football for the majority of their lives at a high level? Have they got coaching experience along with extensive scouting knowledge available to them? Is anybody with an opinion on here called Nigel Pearson and currently employed as manager of Leicester City Football Club?

No, didn't think so, so I hate to be a buzz killington but most of these 'bombshell' opinions mean absolutely nothing. Pearson and co. wanted a player, they got the player, HAPPY DAYS!!

Don't worry about cost (not your money) don't worry about selection (not your job) and please don't make silly predictions (nobody cares).

Interesting to see if this AND Esteban goes through who will be going out the exit door...?

I personally think if anyone leaves it's going to be Kingy.. It's been reported through a few sources that qpr, west brom and I can't remember the other club have expressed an interest in Andy King and I reckon if we can get £3mill + for him we'll let him go...

He won't be happy to sit on the bench and I don't blame him... Hammond on the other hand I think will happily be 5th choice CM, he spent a lot of last season on the bench and I think he knows he's back up... Extremely interesting week to come with the remainder of the window!

I don't mean when they are playing. I mean people are acting as though DD/James/King/Hammond are now nailed on as our 4 midfielders and we don't need anyone else following 2 performances from King and Hammond.

I thought you were being serious lol

haha you have a point but a forum is for discussions and sharing opinions.  It would be a very quiet place if everyone just agreed and didn't voice any kind of opinion on the ongoings at the club.

Let people have their opinions and voice them on a this forum, which it is meant for, annoyingly for you I'm afraid

Your sig is fantastic by the way!

lol Thanks! I found it on my computer recently, but I must have made it ages ago. I think it must be pre-Sousa! I can't remember what thread it was for. 10 points to whoever finds where the old uncropped version was posted.

Ah, I see. Ok, shut the forum down now. It was good while it lasted.

Would be an OKAY signing, and an OKAY signing at that, lets look through his actual style of play and what he can give you in the team, will track back and help the defence, not too scared to put a tackle in, likes a shot, and hard working, now granted, these are good attributes, but are they better than what we've got? i would say no, james does the tracking back and defensive side of things, so does hammond, drinkwater and king are for the more advanced playmaking roles, now the issue of IF and a big IF cambiasso was to arrive, he truely would offer something different, sheer experience, someone thats played at the highest level of football possible and incredibly decorated, at £7 million pounds, we are paying McArthur to warm them loverly blue seats in the dugout for us, because i carnet exactly see him starting in front of Drinky when he comes back, or cambiasso if he comes in, then we need to credit King and Hammond for playing so well these last two games, I'm not saying McArthur is bad I'm saying he's okay, didn't exactly set the premier league alight when he was last there with wigan, hence why he wasn't bought by a bigger team, we can say in nige we trust however many times we like, but i think this COULD be a panic buy, just for numbers.

So potentially we have Drinkwater, James, KIng, Hammond, McArthur and Cambiasso all for the CM positions?

That is a lot of quality CM's to try keep happy!!

Rate McArthur highly so wouldn't be that disappointed now if Cambiasso didn't join us

Prefer to get another defender and a striker or wide player

This is a much better position to be in than be a bear bones as we have been.  It is great from a fans perspective, it is only an issue for the manger.  He will I am sure be able to handle the rotation need for the PL.

I agree that for this position it's a great position to be in, but there are frailties in other positions that you people may have expected to be strengthened before basically our strongest position, so I can see where this is coming from

Last night on Radio 5 Live 'we understand Leicester have now agreed personal terms with James MacArthur'

This morning Radio Leicester and John Percy 'second bid for MacArthur rejected by Wigan

Dave Whelan 'we've accepted a bid from Leicester City'

From now on we might as well wait until we see the player holding the scarf aloft on the official website before even entertaining the idea we might have signed someone. Shows how much bulls**t there is around.

No wonder Pearson gets so annoyed

Is Matty James properly broken or what? I thought he'd picked up a little knock on shin in a warm up.

Before he came to us he was injury prone that's why Utd released him (I read somewhere)

Don't know if its the same thing but if it is, it could keep coming back which means 2 new CMs would be ideal.

As long as we bring in Cambiasso I don't give a shit where McArthur ends up.

I'd rather have McArthur then Cambiasso, forget this marquee signing crap, we need an engine in the middle of the park. At 34, Cambiasso is still a good signing but I'd prefer JM.
