You set targets at the start of the season and prioritize them.

League position is far above cup run.

Ok, that doesn't mean you get knocked out on purpose.

I cannot agree... What's the point in even playing the game if you think you might pick up injuries.

Your last sentence I do not get, either. Just because they play doesn't mean they are going to get injured. Yes there's the risk, but there's a risk when they go to training.

a) you play players you do not want to get injured, to see what they are capable of.

b) Why take the risk?

Besides the injury arguement, surely the likes of Cain, Watson etc need to be given a chance at some point to see what they can do in the first team.

If it doesn't work out I would rather it in the league cup than any other comp .

We could have played a much, much weaker team. We haven't tried to get knocked out on purpose.

e.g. Konch is our only recognizable left back in the squad, he could have easily been left out.

Swansea - cup winners, survived

Leicester 1997 - Cup winners, survived

Leicester 2000 - cup winners, survived,

point reproven.

Oh, there are a lot more points that prove than that, he's just being petulant. And Moronic is he's actually suggesting a teams league and cup form and two completely separate entities.

Losing this game will allow Pearson to prioritise else where. In the long run, many Premier League teams will rotate key players out for various reasons. Hence why this competition is so open. If Pearson sees this game to be a hindrance in relation to us staying in the Premier League then better to bow out now, rather than the quarter finals.

Our time is better served in preparing for our next league game, as despite what we told. We'll gain more money per Premier League place than chasing the lottery of the cup.

We're never going to agree. So all I will add is that I'll be very, very disappointed if we lose this game - a team in League Two ffs, regardless - and I'll also be disappointed because we're going out of the League Cup. You play sport and games to win.

I'm not overreacting. I'm a massive fan of Nigel Pearson, always have been, but as a Leicester City fan this is bitterly disappointing.
