Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Bit of a shame. Won't be remembered for long though.
biggs Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 It's disappointing to lose anytime. Quite shocked we couldn't get it done even with the lineup we had. Having watched the Chelsea match, I'm confident we'll give Arsenal something to think about........would imagine many heads were looking ahead and lost some focus on this match.
Corky Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Good point on RL to NP, if you do not want to win don't charge the Fans to go. That's not a good point as Pearson never said he didn't want to win the game. Barring the lack of options for centre midfield, he's played some first teamers, some good fringe players too with a strong bench. It should be enough to win this match.
Grewks Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Some of our fans are disgraceful, calling the performance pathetic and moaning etc... United, the biggest club in the country, losing 4-0 at mk dons and they don't stop singing for 90 minutes.
m4DD0gg Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 O'Neil didn't win the cup in our first season back in the Premier League. Erm yes he did.....jesus.
Sir Shep Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 I'm disappointed we have lost, regardless that it's a cup match. I do hope that this gives the players a good kick up the arse so we can now go on and kick arses arse. Oh and hopefully sign a couple more players.
Buzzell Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Suppose it could be worse. We could be Man Utd fans.
sdb Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 O'Neil didn't win the cup in our first season back in the Premier League.
Leicesterpool Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Awful performance and lack of effort from most of the team tonight. Of course league is more important but the negative effect from this tie could carry on into the league.
Foxes1 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 GTF had a clause in his contract, once he played so many games he was given an extra year. How many full games did he play not many, I don't count coming on as a sub a full game..
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 How many full games did he play not many, I don't count coming on as a sub a full game.. Does it matter?
BigMicky Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Oh dear, what a pitiful episode. One chance of Wembley gone. None of this "concentrate on the league" bollocks, this is an appalling result. Bore off.
Captain... Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Good point on RL to NP, if you do not want to win don't charge the Fans to go. Agree with that, I don't understand the half and half team. Why have kids in there alongside players that started on Saturday and will start on Sunday. Either full second string and tell the fans we aren't taking it seriously, or send out a strong squad. A missed opportunity to, win, to have something to celebrate to get another game. Our team is used to the championship where we had 8 more games a year we can manage a cup run. Even with our paper thin squad. Instead we have had our players starting on Saturday after being booed off the pitch. Kids brutally exposed as not good enough for league 2, great it we need them at some point this season. And less games, so less revenue, less exposure, less minutes to keep fringe players fit.
ScouseFox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 not really bothered. bad result, sounds like a bad performance but we move on. arsenal at the weekend, hopefully get this wiped out the system before then and focus on two good performances in the prem not one shoddy second team performance in the league cup.

Stevosevic Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 People honestly believe going out tonight improves are chances of staying up?
Corky Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Bore off. Sorry for wanting my team to try and win trophies.
roger the dodger Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Come on mate even you must realise that makes no sense i wanted a cup run as well as survival. in my opinion a win would have set us up nice for the arsenal game People honestly believe going out tonight improves are chances of staying up? glad you think so i don.t
Grewks Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 People honestly believe going out tonight improves are chances of staying up? There is no effect either way.
leeleic Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Awful performance and lack of effort from most of the team tonight. Of course league is more important but the negative effect from this tie could carry on into the league. It really won't pal
trabuch Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 People honestly believe going out tonight improves are chances of staying up? A lot of people aren't bothered apparently.. You aren't allowed to be pissed off at the team for losing to a div 4 side in a cup
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Although the bigger picture is the premier league, its just a bit of a downer after the relative positivity so far this season. Just hope this doesn't affect general confidence inside the club.sure it wont but that's Nigel's job to do, give us a signing or 3 to put a smile on our faces!
crisp monster Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 I want City to win every game they take part in but it's ALL about the premier league. Stay up Leicester - I don't give a shit about anything else (this season) Well done Shrewsbury - hope they have a good run
MHC Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 This will go two ways. Either it will effect our league form or it won't. I pray that it is the latter because if it isn't we could be in for a long, hard and potentially miserable season. How can we not score at least once against Shrewsbury?
