RowlattsFox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Important or not that was abysmal. I'm sure Pearson will be fuming with the lack of professionalism and attitude.
Grewks Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Man United have a stronger 11 out than we did and are losing 4-0 at mk dons. perspective.
roger the dodger Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 what a show up 3 times winners out. not good enough lads got to be better against arsenal or a beating will happen
wattolcfc Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Blessing in disguise. With the injuries and small squad we have we want to be playing as little games as possible to keep the squad fresh. Few new faces this week and prepare for the important games which will define our season. As Pearson said pre-season, he doesn't care about the cup this season, priority number one is staying in the Premier League - and so it should be.
Fox92 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 You know, people can boo. They've just payed £15 for that rubbish. It's embarrassing, they are League Two ffs.
veezeeblue Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 it was like pre season ´obviously the boss said "Go out and get a good work out but dont win FFS"
hejammy Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Don't really care about the result but what is disappointing is that some players who needed to prove themselves didn't do a great job of doing that. If they want to play in the first team in the Premier League then they need to stand up and be counted when given the chance. We need some quality back up in all areas especially going forward. Was surprised by Tony, thought he'd take his chance, perhaps just tried a bit too hard
Voll Blau Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 If we're going to treat Cup competitions with such disdain and have the attitude that staying up year after year is all that matters I'll jack in football now. Usually despise reactionary bastards after we don't batter every side we play 4-0 but this result has really got me wound up.
Soup Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 If I ever have to go in the West stand again please somebody shoot me,and if the 1st bullet doesn't kill me shoot me again.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Who cares we are in the Prem, Come Sunday we will play our 1st team, Hold on to your hats Arsenal
CosbehFox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 You know, people can boo. They've just payed £15 for that rubbish. It's embarrassing, they are League Two ffs. If I was there tonight, I'd have applauded Shrewsbury Town. Booing is a double edges sword.
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 I assume those who don't care weren't around for would you rather keep a strong side for arsenal or have a chance of playing your best and some getting injured or fatigued for the sake of a cup run
roger the dodger Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Really not bothered well you should be. fookin embarrassing pal
leeleic Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Really do not care we lost today. We have more important things to concern ourselves with starting with Arsenal on Sunday. This will have next to NO impact on the players, management, team whatsoever. An extra day off with no sh1tty replays will be welcomed. It will hurt the fans more than the players but still, a well done to Shrewsbury who deserved this.
Number 6 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Think league fixtures added importance to tonight. Would have been good to get a win and put in a professional performance. As mentioned, think this may be a function of the thin squad but still should have had enough tonight.
Voll Blau Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Blessing in disguise. With the injuries and small squad we have we want to be playing as little games as possible to keep the squad fresh. Few new faces this week and prepare for the important games which will define our season. As Pearson said pre-season, he doesn't care about the cup this season, priority number one is staying in the Premier League - and so it should be. So breeding a winning mentality among that squad isn't important then?
lavrentis Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Who gives a **** ? Fair play Shrewsbury town. Deserved it.
The Doctor Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Well if memory serves me right, the reason on here (excuses?) given for crashing out last season was because we were going for promotion. This season, I presume it's because we want to retain our Premiership status? It's a far cry since MON and doing both.. Ie staying in the Prem and winning cups. Poor night..again shows our lack of depth IMO. Not really - the excuses last season were that we came up against one of the strongest sides in England in Manc City. to an extend I agree with the comments about lack of depth, but at the same time we've been completely crippled by injuries in one position - take 3 centre mids out of any side and they'd struggle.
MC Prussian Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 In a strange way, I've actually missed a good old thread full of moaning on here.
