roger the dodger Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Who cares we are in the Prem, Come Sunday we will play our 1st team, Hold on to your hats Arsenal if we play like that arsenal will wipe the floor with us
Sharpe's Fox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Can't see us getting into the play offs on this.
Fox92 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 would you rather keep a strong side for arsenal or have a chance of playing your best and some getting injured or fatigued for the sake of a cup run Fatigued? There's a five day break. Here come the tired excuses, good job they don't work 9-5 everyday isn't it then. I'd like a good cup run. I'd like to see us beat a League Two side. I literally cannot believe some people aren't bothered about losing.
Corky Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 It would've been really tough playing an extra game every five or six weeks. I mean, how would we have coped?
Head Honcho Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Supporters failed to turn up so you can't blame the players for not turning up either!
CosbehFox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 if we play like that arsenal will wipe the floor with us You know cos we will play a central midfield pairing who've played about 100 minutes of league football between them.
Captain... Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 A great chance to register a first win of the season gone begging. I understand the need to give the kids a chance but we have to be aiming to win all our games and having a team that weak out was asking for trouble., we are are going to find victories hard to come by, this was a good chance to have a small victory and a bit of fun and take the pressure off in the league. Now this adds more pressure as there is no distraction. I don't agree with booing at the end, but I understand it, people paid money and gave up their time to watch it if the players weren't bothered about the game and didn't try then that it is not acceptable.
iamafox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Absolutely woeful performance. No doubt we should have won tonight. And now I have to say 'let's concentrate on the league'.
foxfanazer Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Is it really that embarrassing though? Plenty of shocks in cup games and it's not like we were at full strength. Disappointing to fall at the first hurdle but it's hardly time to hit the panic button The squad needs more depth which we knew before tonight and that needs addressing before deadline day.
Will1981 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Supporters failed to turn up so you can't blame the players for not turning up either! it was a sell-out only one stand open
Foxes1 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Fans have said all along that the squad isn't big enough tonights result proves it. Why did we give GTF an extension to his contract he just doesn't add anything to the squad. We need Vardy, Drinkwater and James back and bloody quick.
sdb Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 If we fail to bring in numbers over the next few days this could be a good result in the long run. Potentially 4 or 5 fewer games across the season for us to worry about. Easier to say when you've not had to pay up and watch though.
foxfanazer Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 if we play like that arsenal will wipe the floor with usCome on mate even you must realise that makes no sense
bellind Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Good point on RL to NP, if you do not want to win don't charge the Fans to go.
foxfanazer Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Good point on RL to NP, if you do not want to win don't charge the Fans to go.Did Nige say he didn't want to win then? I missed it

GTF had a clause in his contract, once he played so many games he was given an extra year.
trabuch Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Not fussed that changes were made - had to be the case. But more effort would have been nice. Should have been easily good enough.
Danizen Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Well if memory serves me right, the reason on here (excuses?) given for crashing out last season was because we were going for promotion. This season, I presume it's because we want to retain our Premiership status? It's a far cry since MON and doing both.. Ie staying in the Prem and winning cups. Poor night..again shows our lack of depth IMO. O'Neil didn't win the cup in our first season back in the Premier League.
Sir Shep Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 In a strange way, I've actually missed a good old thread full of moaning on here. Along with the sarcasm!
Stevosevic Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 O'Neil didn't win the cup in our first season back in the Premier League. Yes he did
I am Rod Hull Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Look at all the little children getting upset because we`ve lost a League Cup game at home against Shrewsbury. Why do they not see the bigger picture? do they not realise that the League Cup is not our priority this season?, do they not think that staying in the Prem is?, But I suppose that`s the world of today, they want everything now and are not enlightened enough to think of what could be achieved in the future. I`m sure we had this moaning last season when we went out of the FA cup. Fookin kids.....
sbfox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 well you should be. fookin embarrassing pal You're embarrassed? You're gonna find it hard to face your work colleagues tomorrow? Look the wife and kids in the eye? Get a grip...
