lcfcsnow Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 We've had two weeks to prepare for this and this is the best we can come up with? Mahrez should not be playing after playing late Wednesday night. Can't believe Hammond and king are both still there when better players are available but it's typical Pearson.
Kitchandro Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 I'm thinking that. Fuming Stoke fans aplenty! In all honesty though, 0-0 half time, Pearson will fire up everyone appropriately and make the right changes about 60-70 minutes to give us the edge. Considering how underwhelming we've been we've got something to play for. Hamer is impressing me though, not doing badly at all. Â We can't wait that long. We're playing poorly now and Nigel needs to make a change now. There was nothing in that first half to suggest we will play any better with that 11. It's just not working today at all and we need to affect the game.
Nick Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 I'm not sure it's Nuge's fault entirely - both our forwards have been playing practically in defence because the've had to and the shape has been suffering as a result.
Guest Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Has Hamer been good or not?  He's been one of the better players but started weakly not getting to crosses which should have ended in goals. Finished the half strong  Drinkwater and Vardy second half please. Need to create more, do more with the ball. And we need to get in behind Stoke.  Definitely  Agree - think bring on drinky on for hammond, then cambiasso and vardy in last 20 mins  Agreed. Drinky has to be on first then Vardy to get behind the Stoke defence - if he gets service - then Camby
MC Prussian Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 So far it's been the tough game many of us were expecting beforehand. Â There were always questions marks as to how we'd present ourselves with Schmeichel out and how we'd cope with Stoke's attacking threat. We're doing reasonably well up until this point and canceling out the Potters' attacks with relative ease. Just. Â I'd like to see more link-up play coming from the middle. Sometimes, I get the impression we're getting overrun in midfield. Now Shawcross looks a bit off after the early collision and Crouch's been booked already. Â Maybe we can tempt our luck and snatch a late 1-0 win. But even a goalless draw would be quite the result away from home.
fox123 Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 http://trgoals.org/ch15.html seems okay for me. Â Picture isn't the best, but it's not lagging and living out in the sticks, that makes a change with my sh1te connection.
J.Lisemore Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Vardy for Nugent is a must surely. Nuge looks fvcking p*ssed.
weller54 Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 We'll probably make the changes when we go 1 down!!!!!
Babylon Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 They've had 2 or 3 headers in the box, could've easily scored.  Personally if  we're making changes I'd swap Mahrez for Cambiasso, stiffen up the midfield.  Have they? We talking actual chances here because other than the Crouch one I can't remember one where I thought "we were lucky there".
lcfcsnow Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Vardy for Nugent is a must surely. Nuge looks fvcking p*ssed. No change from last season then, did people expect a transformation?
Chug Laguna Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Has Hamer been good or not? I've thought he's been as wonky as a time-shifted Caveman stumbling into a 3D showing of Guardians of the Galaxy but what the hell do I know
Deucalion Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 All aboard the optimism bus! Â I'll get on again for the second half as I fell out the back door after about 10 mins of the first half. Â Surely it can only get better???
JonnyBoy Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 oh, and so much for their fans booing Drinkwater all game
Kitchandro Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 I'm not sure it's Nuge's fault entirely - both our forwards have been playing practically in defence because the've had to and the shape has been suffering as a result. Â Of course it's not his fault entirely but he's certainly not affecting the game positively at all. The problem is we need an outlet when we've got so little possession and today he might as well not be there. Bringing on Vardy would make a difference to the way we are playing IMO. Nugent is just not an option when we're in possession at the moment.
Rincewind Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Shocking is a bit strong. Stoke are a tough side to play against. Even the top teams don't always beat them.
bluesbrothers Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 We were never going to dominate against Stoke away, so I'm pleased we've rode the storm. Need an injection of pace for counter attacking - Vardy for the seemingly-knackered Mahrez - otherwise glad we survived that onslaught.
kingfox Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Hammond, King & Schlupp may not be up to standards today, but no point slagging them off and calling them shit, all three have played well this season up until now. Â Changes do need to be made though... Â Vardy on Nugent off Cambiasso on Schlupp off Drinkwater on Hammond off
Chug Laguna Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 My stream has been superb HD but it's technically paid for as it's through NBC Sports

roblcfc84 Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Nugents has been a passenger. Vardy and Cambiasso need to come on before we go one down
