TheUltimateWinner Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Well, our midfields form has certainly worn off and King & Hammond are back to looking like their respective positions in the pecking order. 3 Changes: Vardy Cambiasso/Drinkwater Knockaert to come on.
Max Power Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 It's very nice we've stuck with the same team after they've done so well but we can shelve that now. Get the superior players off the bench as soon as possible and we might take something from this game.
nickelbyfox Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Because Stoke attacker have been really bad too. We've got to strengthen midfield, good job we've got 2 betterplayers on the bench Agree - think bring on drinky on for hammond, then cambiasso and vardy in last 20 mins
Christoph Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Does anybody have a decent stream that doesn't lag?
Nick Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 I would put Cambiasso on for King, Vardy on for Nugent and Drinky on for Hammond. Pace and a decent ball could win this game.
bovril Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Done everything he's needed to, had one spill, but beer solid enough. Now that's an idea....
Sunbury Fox Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Nigel needs to pick his best players. Do you think Mourinho would keep Mikel in the team if Fabragas was fit, even if they'd won the game with him in? No! We need players in midfield who can control the game and keep possession - and we have them on the bench!
dorsetboy Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 poor half but we cant have it all like we did last season but tbh i thought nigel might put out a team that was going to cause prob on the counter with decent passing from midfield ----------------------------------------------hamer------------------------------------------- simpson-------------------wes-------------------------moore---------------------------konch --------------------cambiasso----------------------------drinkwater--------------------- albrighton--------------------------------------------------------------------mahrez----------- -------------------------------------------ulloa-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------vardy------------------------------------------------------- de laet has not looked comfortable all season there is a reason jeff was converted to a left back nugent is either off the pace or out of his depth pearson has spoken a lot about game management and how to control the game without the ball i think the players have taken it to heart and decided not to have a kick
Babylon Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Whilst we've been poor I don't get all this "lucky to be level", or "how have Stoke not scored" stuff. Yes they have controlled the game, but all their shots are coming from distance at the moment and other than a header from a corner none of them have been what I'd a half chance let alone a good one.
Kitchandro Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Positives: It's 0-0 against a decent team. The half went quickly. It's half time and Nigel can try and change things. Other than the Crouch header all their chances are long shots. Yeh I was thinking that. Considering how bad we've been they've really not made the most of it. The big positive is if we make the right changes we're more than capable of getting a result here. We just need to decide to turn up and play football at some point in the next 45 minutes.
dmayne7 Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Hammond off. Not playing badly but King is doing well and we need somebody with a bit more incision on the pitch.
JonnyBoy Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 it will be mindblowing if vardy doesn't come on for Nugent. he's been piss poor since the start of the season. But too many people have Nugent tinted specs on
TheUltimateWinner Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Does anybody have a decent stream that doesn't lag? Nope, all dreadful.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 We'll nick this 1-0. It's that sort of game. I'm thinking that. Fuming Stoke fans aplenty! In all honesty though, 0-0 half time, Pearson will fire up everyone appropriately and make the right changes about 60-70 minutes to give us the edge. Considering how underwhelming we've been we've got something to play for. Hamer is impressing me though, not doing badly at all.
Haydos Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 I would put Cambiasso on for King, Vardy on for Nugent and Drinky on for Hammond. Pace and a decent ball could win this game. At half time?
VLC86 Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Jordan has showed better ball retention in her lifetime than we managed in that half. 2 from Drinky, Cambiasso and Vardy on at HT please.
JonnyBoy Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Does anybody have a decent stream that doesn't lag? go on football streaming info there is quite a few
TheUltimateWinner Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 it will be mindblowing if vardy doesn't come on for Nugent. he's been piss poor since the start of the season. But too many people have Nugent tinted specs on I still say Nuge is a good player, but god he has been awful so far today.
Steven Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Agree - think bring on drinky on for hammond, then cambiasso and vardy in last 20 mins This but maybe for the last 25
dmayne7 Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Got into a great crossing position and seemed to kick the ball out with his standing leg. Bit of a blur on the stream, but obviously utter crap. What stream you got Babs? I know you can't link me to it but even if you could tell me the domain (i.e. Wiziwig). Mine was alright but its cut out a couple of times.

Webbo Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Whilst we've been poor I don't get all this "lucky to be level", or "how have Stoke not scored" stuff. Yes they have controlled the game, but all their shots are coming from distance at the moment and other than a header from a corner none of them have been what I'd a half chance let alone a good one. They've had 2 or 3 headers in the box, could've easily scored. Personally if we're making changes I'd swap Mahrez for Cambiasso, stiffen up the midfield.
Crinklyfox Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 So happy that it's still 0-0. If we were playing a better finishing team it could be over by now. Stoke have a decent defence, the few efforts that we had were well dealt with. Ulloa and Nugent haven't had a look in, change in midfield personnel or shape could help.
Babylon Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 We'll start he same team I reckon, he rarely changes players at half time. He'll give it ten minutes for people to save their starting spots and then make the changes.
yorkie1999 Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 One of two things. We're either playing completely shit, or it's a massive case of lulling stoke into a false sense of security where the second half we bring on vardy and have cambiaso chipping balls over to him.
