Guest ttfn Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 as opposed to di maria, januzaj, hazard, alexis, aiden mcgeady and the rest of the premier league who've been dominated by konch so far this season? Steady on, 4 of the players you've mentioned have scored and the other one played 20 minutes.
ScouseFox Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 Steady on, 4 of the players you've mentioned have scored and the other one played 20 minutes. haha yeah i know i thought that when i was typing them out, none of the goals were much to do with konch though. the point was people are still really suggesting we should play schlupp, who isn't a left back and isn't particularly good at football, over a player who's played left back all his life and since we got promoted has put in 5 genuinely impressive performances there, just because schlupp is faster?!

I agree with you, it was just pretty much the worst way somebody has ever made a good point.

Oxfordfox83 Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 My money is on: Kasper RDL, Moore, Morgan, Konch Mahrez, Drinky, Cambiasso, Schlupp Nugent Ulloa But just as reasonably we could have Hamer Simpson, Was, Upson, Schlupp James, Hammond, Powell Knockaert Vardy Wood Honestly, our second team looks fvcking good...

Going by that, our 'second' team looks more than good enough to win promotion from the championship - perhaps even win it...

johnny the fox Posted 25 September 2014 Author Posted 25 September 2014 Think matty james might get a shout this week..
glenelgfox Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 Reading this thread I can hardly believe that anyone let alone a few in their right minds would even suggest Ulloa doesn't start in the 11??? The bloke has scored 5 in 5 in the Premier League FFS!!!

The bloke has scored 5 in 5 in the Premier League FFS!!! And people leaving Vardy out as well... Deluded. I would go with the same starting 11 as Utd, The only change that I wouldn't be dissapointed with is James for Hammond. Hammond hasn't done anything wrong, I just think James is a better player. Kasper De Laet - Morgan - Moore - Konch Hammond(James) Cambiasso Drinkwater Vardy Nugent Ulloa From Neil Warnocks interview I think they are going to dig deep and put in a doggy performance not giving us much time on the ball which could be good because with that mentality against Vardy will cause them all sorts of issues if he gets in the box. Can see a MOTM performance from Cambiasso bossing the middle of the park. Completely different game to the United game as we should see a lot more of the ball than any other game so far. Hopefully they do come and attack us so we can hit them on the counter but I doubt they will do. I can see their back 4 not coming past the half way line. I'll be over the moon if we win this one as it will really show how adaptable we are to all types of opponents.
Oxfordfox83 Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 Poor Kingy... Balls, knew I'd missed someone. How are the new ex-Utd lads going to get a start?? Can't even fit in the second team... If they ever start, they must be pretty amazing-exciting times!
Happy Fox Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 Crystal Palace v Leicester City | #CRYLEI | More on Live Match Centre >> The last time this fixture was played in the English top-flight, Palace were being managed by Attilio Lombardo (April 1998). Three of Leonardo Ulloa's five Barclays Premier League goals this season have come within two minutes of the opposition scoring. After conceding only one set-piece goal under Tony Pulis, Palace have already let in five this season (excl. penalties). Palace are in danger of going five BPL home fixtures without a win for the first time since returning to the top-flight. The Foxes have a shot conversion rate of 43% inside the penalty area this season, higher than any other side. Leicester are the only BPL side yet to hit the woodwork this season. The Foxes have won none of their last 15 Barclays Premier League fixtures in London (D3 L12). http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/2014-15/sep/matchweek-6-pre-match-stats.html

What fantastic options we have!

Oxfordfox83 Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 His width is more astonishing... Ah Captain, I thought you were better than that... Displaying an Ulloa-esque inability to resist an open goal.

Foxymcoxy Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 For the first time I can remember I literally don't have a preferred 11. Its hard to drop any of the front 3 but I would love Mahrez back in. It's hard to drop Hammond but I would love James back in. There isn't enough space in the line up and I don't even know what formation I want to see. I'm glad we have someone I can trust to make the right decisions 9 times out of 10 and fix it promptly the other 1 time.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 So looking forward to this, buzzing!!! Dont think we'll lose and id a very winnable game. Hard for team selection and formation, though probably stick with the starting 11 vs United
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 I just can't see us lining up 4-3-3 if Palace play the formation they have so far this season, we'll be so exposed out wide.
