Nige, Kasper, Dowd... i'm looking at you.

Nige had plenty of opportunity to make meaningful substitutions, but none changed the game.

Hammond off - James on - Like for like.

Nugent off - Ulloa on - Like for like.

Mahrez off - Knockaert on - Like for like.

None changed the game or played better than their predecessors.

Once Sordel came off for Boyd, Burnley looked like they'd score with their 4-3-3 absolutely taking the piss out of our 4-4-2. Drnikwater and Hammond were totally outrun and needed a calming influence that James usually provides. I'd have taken Knockaert off, and i'm not joking. He's done nothing and I wouldn't have any regrets if we shipped him out on loan. He's not good enough i'm afraid.

Now Kasper, both goals were your fault. You've not stepped up like we assumed you would. You need to get your head out of your arse and realise your position in the side isn't a god given right. What you were doing for that freekick, i'll never know. You might as well not bothered diving because you were never going to reach anything that went to the left of the centre of the goal. Wallace only had to life it over the wall and it was in. I personally say that Hamer comes in for the next game.

It's pretty ****ing frustrating that you have to watch a half of football and see nothing done about the problems that are so painfully obvious. We've lost and drawn to Palace and ****ing Burnley. Jesus christ, let that sink in.

Now Phil Dowd, you fat bellend. Why couldn't you just grow a pair and tell Trippier to move 3 ****ING FEET to get treatment off the pitch? I'm sorry, Burnley might have lost him but they gained about 5 minutes of added time. They're not in danger of losing this time because, rightly, the referee paused his watch. But we lost out, because when 7 minutes is announced the crowd goes quiet, the players start getting nervous and we lose concentration.

I'm sorry, but that was absolutely painful viewing. Sort it out because that bollocks is neither acceptable, nor good enough for a side that wants to stay up.

I also think Hamer should come in. Our team should be based on merit, and Hamer did nothing wrong in his game. We need to show that no-one is undroppable, and Kasper hasn't been particularly fantastic.

You can view the game realistically.

You can even constructively criticize City.

I don't think you can expect never to suffer setbacks.

Your post comes across as a bit of a rant.

2 games man, you're boring.

It's an overreaction as a whole, but it's certainly a fair call to ask for Hamer in for Schmeichel.

Schmeichel was very poor today and the first goal in particular was exactly what Hamer did well at Stoke - dive at the player's feet instead of just stand there and do some feeble starfish impression. And he didn't contantly give ther ball away with his aimless punts up field either.

Our best defensive and goalkeeping performance of the season and only clean sheet thus far has been while Hamer is in goal.

I'm not saying Schmeichel is a bad keeper who should be instantly cast aside - but neither should he be the undroppable #1 - we have 2 keeps of a similar level and from what we've seen so far this season you'd have to say Hamer deserves to be the #1 more than Schmeichel right now.

Substitutions seemed fine - they were lacklustre and, aside from the goals, created sweet **** all.

Kasper, first yes, but 2nd I think is more down to the wall - it's all well and good saying he's on the wrong side, but he doesn't know which way wallace will put it - he's covered one side with the wall, the other with himself. The wall hasn't done enough - from that distance, he shouldn't be able to get it up, over a properly jumping wall, and down again.

Dowd - yes. Trippier was pure gamesmanship, the free-kick wasn't and schlupp should have had a penalty - as much as we should have closed it out, he did all he could to give burnley a lifeline.

How was the first goal Kasper's fault? What about Wes Morgan for being nowhere near any of the runners (namely Kightly) coming through? What could Kasper do?

Moore was more at fault than Kasper for the first one.

Was screaming at Kasper to get more to his left before the second goal.

Of course i'm ranting. We've only just lost and i'll probably look back on this thread with regret tomorrow morning. But we should have beaten those, that side they put out (it's missing most of their starters) isn't good enough for this league.

Don't think Dowd was that bad against us. Thought he favoured us but the Trippier injury stands out.

Schlupp shouldn't have had a penalty. He's pushed Trippier over and it was a free-kick to Burnley.

We can't blame the referee for our points dropped today. There were plenty of opportunities to deny Burnley a way back in to the game and we didn't do it.

I have to say that Kasper and Pearson got it wrong today.

There is an awfully long way to go in the Premiership, but we can't go throwing games away like we did today' Probably the easiest game of the season for us, on paper, and we blew it. Not good.

Yawwwwwwwnn zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

What does that even mean?

That you can't think of a counter argument?

That wasn't good enough. It needs to be realised.

Brushing these problems to the side can quickly escalate. Look at how a lot of teams recently promoted have gone to bollocks after a good start. We can't just say "but we beat United and drew to Everton and Chelsea" because we've now lost to Palace and Burnley. We've had a tremendous start but we need to keep our foot on the gas before we start losing more and more.

That wasn't good enough and the team needs to work together to put it right. The next game is now "must not lose" IMO.

Why not James for giving the free-kick away? Why not any of the attackers who didn't kill some time but instead lost the ball in Burnley's half needlessly?

Why not the wall for doing their job either? Did any of them jump? Their job is to cover that side of the goal, no?

Fair play.

What about Pearson's two changes to the starting 11? Both scored didn't they?

It was a poor second half, but an ounce of intelligence in the last 2 minutes and we nick a win today. Brainless from the players.

Crossing today sucked in general. 1 point closer to safety but to be honest it should have been 3. Till next time.

Agreed. Forget that Pearson brought in 2 players who scored. Don't think like that lol lol.
