Zaid Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 id go with Kasper De laet Morgan Wasyl Konch Mahrez Cambiasso King Schlupp Vardy Ulloa Reckon we can beat Southampton if we attack and be positive rather than sit back and be negative
stevelcfc Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Kasper RDL Wes Wasyl Konch James King Mahrez Powell Jeff Vardy
Mark Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I guarantee it'll be the same midfield quartet barring any injuries, sounded like Pearson was loving it post match despite no goal threat.
Donut Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I believe the best way to go would be a 4-4-1-1 for a number of reasons. It would give us the width we need when teams are congesting the middle of the pitch and we cant pass through them, especially considering on the ball we dont have players who can thread a needle with tempo. It also gives our two full backs which im sure opposition teams are targeting as a weakness more cover defensively. Teams have been playing on RDL all season. The withdrawn forward/trequartista can drop in as an extra midfielder without the ball and put pressure on the opposition sitting midfielder, but he can also (hopefully) arrive late in the box and drag defenders away with him. As the lone striker, pace, movement and energy are required, hence Vardy over Ulloa in this system. Id like something like: ------------------------------------Schmeichel RDL/Simpson-------Morgan--------------------Moore________Konchesky Mahrez--------------Cambiasso----------Drinkwater-----------Schlupp/Knockaert ---------------------------------------------------King/Powell ---------------------------------------Vardy
DennisNedry Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Kasper Schlupp Morgan Wasyl De Laet Cambiasso James King Mahrez Powell Vardy
LCFCCKEANO Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 SchemichelSimpson Was Wes De Laet(he has played lb before, cant be worse then Konch today) James Cambiasso Powell(Slightly more advanced)Mahrez Albrighton/Lawrence VardyCounter with pace, get powell advanced playmaking and cambiasso sitting deep finding passes, James battling, and try to get the ball to one of the front three as quick as possible and get at their defenders
JIMMYWILLIS Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Schmeichel Simpson Moore Morgan konch Da laet wasyl upson schlupp Cambiasso James May not concede more than 5 with that lot
Happy Fox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 4-4-2 please FFS it has served us so well just f**king grow some balls NP and play that formation.
kingfox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Wasilewski - Konchesky Albrighton - James - King - Schlupp Powell Ulloa Subs - Smith, Moore, Cambiasso, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Wood, Vardy
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Put the names in a hat, and pick them that way. No, that would be silly, but I can't see us causing Southampton any problems, whoever Pearson selects.
hesapeepingtom Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 dont know the team but whatever formation Southampton play, pearson will try to match it the master tactician! hes lost it since matching man uniteds diamond.
Kitchandro Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 It doesn't matter, we'll lose anyway. The last 5 games were the time to pick up some vital points. We've blown it with our negativity and tactical failings, and now we have to accept we'll probably get beaten by teams who are actually better than us.
ronnup Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 De Laet was better today but still think he's not up to the mark (same with others). No harm in playing Simpson. There is a lot of harm in Danny 'whoopsy' Simpleton playing.
FuriousFox46 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 We'll shithouse a 1-0 win. Almost guaranteed
KFS Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Go for it! Kasper Simpson Was Wes Konch Esteban Drinky Knockheart Riyad Vardy Ulloa This is the one!
I blame Wellens Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Just know Nugent and Konch ( yes I know he has not been the piss poor player of last season) are not good enough at this level. I still believe James and Drinky are the best option in the middle and Ulloa and Vardy up top. How we make it work and who we play out wide god knows I'm no master tactician. The trouble is I don't think Pearson is either. I still believe in him but I worry about the way he sets the team up and to finish a game today with 2 big lads up top and no wide player was desperate.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Wasyl Konchesky Powell King Drinkwater James Hammond Cambiasso Got to make sure we win that midfield battle as apparently that is key.
CPW22 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I am probably the only one who wants to start Wood and Ulloa together but I think it can work. Kasper RDL Wes Wasyl Knoch James Drinkwater Cambiasso Powell Wood Ulloa
Father Ted Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Schmeichel De Laet Wasilewski Morgan Schlupp Cambiasso James ------------- Drinkwater Mahrez Vardy Ulloa Subs: Smith, Moore, Hammond, King, Knockaert, Nugent, Wood.
Donut Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Oddly enough, Spain won the European Championships playing a 4-6-0. So it has been done before
ChrisWoodIsClass Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Kasper De laet Morgan Wasyl Schlupp Mahrez James Cambiasso Lawrence Powell wood for me
