So, this is a poll ranking countries by attractiveness in terms of investment, right?

 

Doesn't say anything about what it feels and means like living and working in Germany as an individual.

For the 2013 study, a total of 20,445 online interviews were conducted in 20 developed and developing countries with adults age 18 or over. The most up-to-date online population parameters were used to weight the achieved sample in each country, to reflect key demographic characteristics such as age, gender and education of the 2013 online population in that count.  Fieldwork was conducted from July 25th to August 15th, 2013.

The parts of Germany I have been to and worked in have been great. If a job came up in company around south germany, id be all over it. I don't know if its the best in the world but id prefer Munich to anywhere over here.

Interesting place with a very different atmosphere from region to region. I'm considering moving to Berlin in my early 30s, Bowie-style.

Narrowly avoided entering a reccession according to the news today. But I do agree, I've enjoyed any time i've spent over there and I'd imagine it's only the ignorant brits who still think it's 1945 who would have too many bad words against the country.

Me too. I go over a few times a year, mainly to Augsburg. 

 

Planning on moving/living there for a while next year. I love Germany a lot. Everything is just better.

They do have some annoying things though. Like not being allowed to cross the road away from a crossing.

Easy to get around with the S-Bahn (subway), great night scene. Try the Hafenviertel (Hafen-City), visit St. Pauli, the Reeperbahn, the Tower Bar above the Hafen Hotel, get smashed with a bucket full of Astra and don't forget the name Beate Uhse.

Visited Nuremburg to watch England in the World Cup.

Shocked and surprised. I think it has s similar population to Leicester, but that is where the similarities end.

A real smart City. It has been modernised, but maintained loads of character and I had a great few days.

People seemed friendly too, really really nice place.

It is a great country and its passion for football, beer and currywurst is reason enough to love it.

Found Munich the most modern city in comparison to your Dortmund's and Dusseldorfs but all were welcoming, the only disadvantage with Germany is that on a Sunday literally everything closes.
