FA Cup Third Round Draw - Newcastle @ home

Newcastle are shocking in the cup under Pardew. We will probably win when no points are at stake.

Two reserve teams battle it out having played 2 days before.

We're the perfect opposition for them then.

free tickets wouldn't even see this sell out atm

Still be £10 much based on current shit.

Great minds and all the shit.

I'll be going as always. There are probably very few great FA Cup runs that haven't involved one or two 'boring' ties. Anyway, you don't know this will be boring yet.

Correct, but I know we'll lose.

Newcastle fans are mostly happy with the draw

I probably would be, a team in our form? I'd be creaming myself.

Uninspiring draw, as they always are when you get someone from the same division. On the bright side the players will have a whole fortnight to work on the defending when 4th round weekend rolls around.

Great point!

If we lose (which we will) we'll have a 'free' undepressing weekend without the shite. Fantasic.

Feel sorry for Wrexham fans. Battle it out to make it to the 3rd round...then....

Stoke. Away.

Thanks.

That will be very naughty outside of the ground.

The game is likely to be played Tuesday rather than the weekend. The PL clubs have asked the FA because of the games on NYD.

This forum makes me laugh sometimes. Last season this would have been a game that is winnable against better opposition. Now we're in the Prem and not doing as well as some would like, it's a foregone conclusion, even though we're a year more experienced. Wake up City fans.

Confidence > No Confidence.

What a difference a year 6 months make.

It`s seemed over the last few years, that a good percentage of fans on here, can`t get knocked out of the cup quick enough, in order to concentrate on the league.

I imagine those same fans will be extremly happy with this draw!

I know it's an expensive business these days, but it genuinely surprises me how many on here just seem to not actually enjoy football unless we win.

Oh I can take not winning, but no win in 10...i'm struggling with that.

Well the draw just got shitter if it's a midweek game too.

Being in my 60's, the cup is special to me.

Sneaking my tranny onto the banks counter (where I worked from the late 60's) on the Monday to listen to the lunch time draw whilst supposed to be working was a definite highlight of the season. Watching the draws on TV is always boring, but that's progress for you.

Anyway, well happy with Newcastle, would rather watch a top team than the Leatherheads, Walsalls and Harlows of the world! Definitely winnable although given our predicament, NP will not put too much importance to the competition.

What Matt said. I'm not suicidal or anything but a run like this really isn't fun.
