Kyle Naughton is set to leave Tottenham in January, with Crystal Palace, Swansea and Leicester all chasing the defender.

Naughton, 26, has found it difficult to nail down a regular place at White Hart Lane and is unlikely to have many opportunities to do so under Mauricio Pochettino.

The imminent return to fitness of Kyle Walker means Naughton has a battle on his hands to seize his preferred right-back spot, particularly with USA full-back DeAndre Yedlin likely to move to north London in January.

But Naughton, whose contract runs out at the end of next season, will have no shortage of interest next month. Swansea came close to signing the former Sheffield United player during the summer and although they could not agree terms then, boss Garry Monk has continued to follow Naughton’s progress and believes he could do a valuable job for the Swans.

Naughton worked with Palace boss Neil Warnock at Sheffield United, the club he left to join Spurs in 2009, while Leicester manager Nigel Pearson is also a fan.

Although his performances have been solid this term, Naughton has found it difficult to establish momentum due to the red cards he collected against West Ham and Stoke.

Loved him when he was here best RB weve had in recent years IMO. We already have 2 RB's at the club though so cant see us going for him.

Although I'd prefer him to our RB options at the minute, I'm sure RDL will come good with experience and Simpson when he gets a run in the team.

I reckon he'd do well going to Palace

Think NIGE had a great relationship with aughton and I can't see why he wouldn't come back... We have him his biggest chance IMO, Spurs wouldn't play him over walker and we took him on,

Get him back in ASAP. Much better than de laet.

Plus remember him scoring a rocket for us I think, left peg outside of the box can't remmeber who against though.

And he can play LB can't he? ;)

Where did he have a great relationship with? Sven was the one who signed him for us.

Since when has Naughton played under Pearson?

He'd be a great LB for us.

Was good at the time, but people seem to be forgetting we conceded a lot of goals from that flank when he was caught up the pitch

Was a good attacking force though

Similar to rdl good going forward but needs someone reliable in front of him and we were playing weaker teams when he was here plus he's struggled somewhat at spurs.

We have more important areas to strengthen.

Loving the verbal diarrhea, keep it up.

Curtis Davies and Kyle Naughton, have I woken up in 2010?

Like Davies, he was fantastic for us first time round and would love to see him return.

Where's Yakubu playing these days??

Can he play LB? Please God tell me he'll play LB for us.

Yes he can played there in the season Sheffield United got promoted, Walker was right back. Both made the switch to Tottenham thay summer I believe. Plays left back for Tottenham in Europa League.

Pretty sure he wouldn't come here if he was going to play left back. Never realy shone at this level, no more than De Laet and Simpson have.

Not what we need currently in my opinion.

Would love him back. I thought he was a RB and thought there would be no chance. But if he plays LB, then I guess there could be a chance. He tweeted recently about enjoying his time here and also when we won promotion made some nice comments.

Fingers crossed.

He's been poor at left back for Spurs but i'd love him back and i'd shoehorn him in somewhere, even if we did a Craig Levein and played one of our right backs on the wing.

Since when has Naughton played under Pearson?

Not sure why I was thinking he played under nigel, my mistake... Was a quality player for us though, is it Lee Peltier im thinking of that played under nigel?? They had the same hairstyle

1) Our name has been attached to the list of 'interested' clubs by a lazy journalist

2) He's very similar to & no better than De Laet

3) He's a right back, we already have 2 (plus Was & Moore can play there)

If every spurious link is to be discussed at length on here, January will be a long month for some
