It’s an amazing place. My brother in law lives there so we go out every year (ish). They’re in Fort Collins, which is a fairly typical place in that part of the world - nice, clean, friendly and just enough hippy-dippy to be entertaining. 
Estes is incredible (me “What’s that?”, BiL “Oh, just some fresh bear poo”, me “Umm, how fresh?). 

Hot springs and mud baths just outside Colorado Springs are fun as well. 
and breweries…lots and lots of breweries around. 
And a night at The Shining hotel is a must, obvs!

Of all the places I've been, Rocky Mountain National Park is the place I most want to get back to. Have a great trip!

North Norfolk is lovely. Been to Sheringham a few times for cricket

The bit of Norfolk in from sheringham, between there and Reepham, is great. High Norfolk - lots of stately homes, medieval churches, meandering lanes and the ghosts of famous noble families. Salle being a particular favourite.

I went the opposite way on a loop via National Monument, Moab, Arches and Canyonlands Parks and Monument Valley before going through New Mexico and up through Durango, Silverton and Ouray. Did spend an afternoon in Salida, beautiful little town. Colorado is fabulous, especially the landscape and natural wonders...

I spent the weekend in Norfolk, saw The Streets and Babyshambles in Norwich. I'd been twice for football and throughly enjoyed the place, nice to have a bit more time to potter around. It's incredibly overlooked, fantastic array of churches and medieval architecture. Great pubs too. In the same bracket as York imo.

 

My girlfriend's family friends live in Wells so we spent Saturday there, the cider yard (name escapes) is worth sitting in. We stayed in Walsingham, a bit kitschy but it's one of the more unique villages in the country. Lovely farm shop.

In Norwich for bank holiday weekend. One of the best cities in the UK for a weekend away, when compared to prices of similar places like York, Bristol etc. a mid range pub in Norwich is probably on par with the best in Leicester.

The north side of the Wensum has a great concentration of pubs. Didn’t get to all the ones I wanted.

 

The Kings Head felt quite Sheffieldesque, very Neepsend. Didn’t get to the Leopard but  it has a cracking exterior.

"A pub for every day of the year and a church for every Sunday". 

 

Area around Walsingham is great - very high Norfolk, quite Anglo-Catholic obviously, with an elegiac quality.  L’Angleterre profonde.

East coast is a bit more southern Italian, Greek influence, some nice towns especially Syracusa. Etna is cool of course. West coast much wilder, quite north African. San Vito is an amazing beach, Favignana and Levanzo are beautiful islands to explore with amazing waters. Palermo is amazing obviously but saturated now. Still one of the World's great cities for history and culture though.

Thanks! I have just begun research but I was tempted to fly to Palermo, somehow make my way to Noto, and then fly out from Catania in about 9 days.

I'm very much team west Sicily but I'm biased and the south east is also great. Noto for sure is a must, as is Siracusa. Catania is a fun city and a little more laid back and now more authentic than Palermo.

 

In Palermo I'd stay just outside the historic centre, maybe just north west of piazza politeama, but again I'm biased because I lived, worked and drank around there and had many good house parties on via Siracusa. 

 

Despite being overrun by tourists I still love Cefalu and the cathedral there is one of the world's greatest in my opinion.

I was only there for about 5 nights, 2 in Palermo and 3 in Cefalu but it’s an amazing place and I’ll definitely go back to explore more.

Back from 10 days in Salou. It's an easy one for us as we've been lots of times over the years but first visit for a few years and it's definitely going downhill a little bit. All the businesses appeared to have been taken over by foreigners, fake football shirt market is massive

 

However, still enjoyed it with young kids, always enjoy Portaventura trips.
