Great vid Tripe thanks. Forgot how much I love knocky. Mahrez has stolen his thunder a bit.

If u wanted to see a player with genuine class you should've seen Lloyd Dyer! :)

He left us last summer. Talent!

Fair play to Almunia. Fantastic save. Didn't know he's at Watford.

Almunia, you say......

That was possibly the game of last season. That goal, the ginger kid, Knockaert's goal, the Watford mascot, showing the penalty miss before the game, our fans just taking the piss for 90 minutes.

I thought Knocky didn't do any defensive work? His tracking back is excellent in that video, should start for me on saturday.

his defensive work was probably his best asset for large parts of last season. he's great. if he plays he'll do well.

Really looking forward to this one, and Stoke the week after. The buzz seems to be back around the

club and everybody looks up for the fight. A shame we haven't got Mahrez or Schlupp but hopefully Knockaert and Albrighton can step up.

2-0 city win

Mark Schwarzer was a decent listen last night on five live. He filled me with confidence that we have the players, belief, and fight to stay up. I also have a sneaky feeling he may get the nod on Saturday too

Nigel Pearson

With the visit of Aston Villa to King Power Stadium on Saturday, Nigel Pearson says he will be without the services of a midfielder ahead of the Barclays Premier League clash.
Argentine Esteban Cambiasso had to be withdrawn after just 24 minutes in the 1-0 FA Cup Third Round victory over Newcastle on Saturday, and will not be fit in time for the game against Paul Lambert’s men.

Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Danny Drinkwater, who came off injured in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool on New Year’s Day, didn’t train on Thursday, but may be in contention to train on Friday.

“Cambiasso won’t be available,” said Pearson. “Danny Drinkwater has not trained yet but may train tomorrow. Dean Hammond and Andy King have both trained today.

“Kasper [schmeichel] will be a while yet. It is still the same timescale of six to 10 weeks. I don’t know how far down the line we are but he will still be a while yet.”

Everyone will step it up a notch. If Knocky gets a go, I'm hoping he's back to the 'Hide Knocky' thread days. Some of those posts were classic

Fvck!!! Five nominal first team members missing (Schmeichel, Cambiasso, Drinkwater, Schlupp and Mahrez)

It's ok, we've got replacements.

In some cases, better options than the players you have named!

Looks like it will be James in the middle with either King or Hammond. Assuming we play 4411 again. On Knockaert, I think he can produce the goods in this league.

lol I will never get bored of watching the players trolling that stand and those laughable 13 year old goons after that Wood goal. That was such a good day!

Very tough game now with all the injuries fail to see where the width is going to come from in the midfield so it might be a 4-3-3, with nuge ulloa and knocky up front and james king and lawrence in the middle

just realising how huge a game this is.

everyone villa down is in the relegation fight imo (maybe excluding everton because surely they'll eventually sort themselves out and finish top half?). but even so, villa are away at us. burnley host qpr, hull go to west brom, palace play spurs, sunderland play liverpool and everton play city. we've got one of the easier games this weekend and it's a bloody good chance to make up two or three points on literally all of our rivals.

what would everyone's perfect set of results be? draws in the relegation scraps, big teams beat the shit teams and we do villa and the table looks a little like this...

12th villa 22 pts

13th everton 21pts

14th sunderland 20pts

15th qpr 20pts

16th hull 20pts

17th wba 19pts

18th burnley 18pts

19th palace 17pts

20th city 17pts

or if we win by a couple we'd lift ourselves off the bottom ahead of palace. all ifs and buts and probably won't happen, but come saturday night we could be within a win of safety with an ok looking home game coming up next week. one game at a time etc but next week's fixtures see us having an "easier" home game again, whilst qpr host united, west brom go to everton, villa play liverpool, sunderland play spurs, hull go to west ham and burnley play qpr, which they obviously both can't win.

with exciting new signings seemingly on the way in both attack and defence, if we can get 3 points on saturday it sets us up for one hell of a go at getting out of this shit. if we lose, though...

Bit harsh on QPR to play Burnley twice in a week and also Man United on the same day :D Burnley play Palace on the 17th

Agree with you, a win tomorrow is massive, we'll make up points on at least three teams and possibly Palace too.

lol yeh that's what i meant. burnley and us have two very winnable home games, could do with them drawing though so they're not getting out of it. everyone else either plays burnley or us, or one of your bigger sides.

yeah, i can't see palace or everton getting anything, and obviously at least two of west brom/hull/burnley/qpr are going to drop points. if we beat villa they'll also be dropping points. it's huge, the biggest weekend of the season so far imo. i'm terrified lol
