Bluearmy 316 Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 How well did he play yesterday. I thought he looked quality I loved the fact he kept crossing first time ulloa will get a lot more goals if he keeps that standard up over the next month he has to start against villa on Saturday for me.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Best performance I've seen from him for us. Although that isn't saying a great deal given his previous performances for us!
Raj Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Thought he was so-so.considering he's supposed to be a PL.player! Suppose he ain't played much though for a year!
Callabinho Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 I can see why he hasn't been getting in the side, however yesterday he certainly did enough to claim either Mahrez or Schlupp's place, he lacks pace but makes up for it with his effort in both directions, he does have a lovely cross and looks to get it in as early as possible. I would like to see him start against Villa, from the off I think he could cause some problems.
ithuriel Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Excellent going forwards, really tore through that Newcastle defence yesterday but occasionally did just switch off defensively. Looked far superior to Vardy for comparison yesterday, in fact Vardy was the least of all the attacking players and him replacing Nugget, sorry, Nugent, had them getting back into the game for the final 10 to 15 minutes.
kingfox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Play like he did yesterday in the Premier League, then losing Mahrez wouldn't look so bad. Good going forward, very direct and can certainly whip in a cross.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 I think he proved he can play at this level, hopefully he can continue because he will be relied upon heavily when Mahrez goes
Strokes Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Like any player, you should only judge after a run of games. Cameos and one off games, don't usually give a true reflection of a players ability.
sphericalfox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 We'll be seeing loads of him soon! Let's hope he can maintain.
Dan Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 That's the kind of performance I was hoping we'd get from him. I've wondered all along why he's been so out of favour. Looks like he's got something about him.
LCFC FOX Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Viva Albrighton Viva Albrighton Running down the wing Here the Leicester sing Viva Albrighton
VLC86 Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 He only needs half a yard to whip a good ball in and it was only down to good defending/ bad finishing that he didn't get an assist. Imagine Defoe getting the chance that Chris Wood had.
WardyisPukka Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 His crossing was pretty good and hopefully Ulloa might benefit from it as to be honest he's not exactly had the service. His passing though isn't the greatest and gives the ball away bit too easily but in saying that he's more than capable of filling in for Mahrez and offers something different. But i feel he only suits 4-4-2 formation - pointless playing him if we line up with vardy up top on his own
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 He improved the game for us yesterday when he came on I thought. Crossing was very good. Certainly a good contender for starting the game or games.
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 From what we've seen so far of Albrighton..I don't think he's good enough. There's a world of difference between hoping he is and truly believing it. Mahrez and Schlupp have proven, at least over the past few weeks, to be two of our most talented players. When is the club going to truly strengthen this squad primarily with a left back and a winger? Many were calling for such quality only a few weeks ago, yet now seem to be accepting of Marc Albrighton as some kind of ideal replacement. Despite an improvement, the club remains bottom and now without two of our better first teamers. IMO we need to strengthen.
MickyAdamsBaby Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Do you realise lots of people who go to the football but don't read about football call him Michael Brighton. It works if you say it fast

How much have you seen of him? he hasn't even had a run of games to be judged on and your already saying he isn't good enough?
Bamba's Babes Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Best performance of the season for Albrighton. He's always had that in his locker. I imagine consistency is his issue.
L1wood Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I think there is a space for Albrighton in the squad. No doubt he has a killer cross & has never been someone to run at people like Mahrez due to his lack of pace. I wouldnt start him for me it's got to be Knockaert James Drinkwater Lawrence

I wouldnt start him for me it's got to be Knockaert James Drinkwater Lawrence Against villa? Has to start. He was there for years and they neglected him last spring, so he should be well up for the match. In general, I'm not sure. But Lawrence is an unknown quantity for us in the PL, whereas Marc has plenty of experience at this level and we know what he's capable of.
Stevosevic Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 MOTM performance last week and it's his old team - he's nailed on to start.
