bovril Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Myth, myth, myth. Non-EU nationals cannot come here legally just to claim benefits, housing and healthcare. I should know. My wife is a non-EU national. Sorry, but this is the internet. First hand experience does not trump anecdotal evidence and myth!
Guest Bilo Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Why are we having a UKIP type argument? If he's not granted a work permit at first because he doesn't hit the criteria, a £9m international Premier League striker is always going to be granted one on appeal. He's not exactly Ali Dia is he?
Brainy Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Sorry if this has been asked which im sure it has, but when are we supposed to hear whether the work permit application has been successful? Next week?
sylofox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I'll ask anyway... How to thousands of non-EU nationals come here legally every year just to claim benefits, housing and healthcare with no problem, when on the other hand we have somebody trying to come over here with a contract signed and is gonna pay a shit load of income tax?! He should have sneaked into the country in the back of a lorry and signed on. Then signed his contract and signed off job done all legal with no problems. lol
sylofox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Sorry if this has been asked which im sure it has, but when are we supposed to hear whether the work permit application has been successful? Next week Not sure when but will be in time for him to play on saturday.
Xen Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Jeff Stelling just said 'He's expected to be granted his work permit next week'. First time anything positive has been said re: the permit on Sky, as far as I've heard.
katieakita Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 With permits being granted automatically to Croatian's in a few months anyway there seems little point in delaying things, the positives is everything is agreed just a permit is needed. As he will as a fair bet not being in need of any benefits and assuming his salary will bring in a decent wage to HMRC it is just time. If of course this panel think he doesn't bring in anything extra to us we can always employ them as scouts
GorlestonFox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Can anyone confirm the pronunciation....? Is it Cram uh rich?
AKCJ Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Gutted he's not playing today. He's be on a hatrick by now with the chances we've created.
Nick Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Hopefully he'll make his debut at Old Trafford and bag a hattrick.
tripe Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Can anyone confirm the pronunciation....? Is it Cram uh rich? Crum (as in scrum) a (as in a bottle( rich as in rich)
FireFox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Wonder if he's in the stand watching today ! Yup he was! They showed and talked about him twice (at least on NBC).
lgfualol Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Will we play him over Ulloa? can't wait for him to be on the pitch

If of course this panel think he doesn't bring in anything extra to us we can always employ them as scouts I believe freedom of movement for Croations is 1st July 2018, not 2015, in the UK. It's 2015 in some EU countries which is where some of the confusion is coming in.
LCCFox96 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 If he can come into the side and play like he has been at Rijeka he will hopefully get a hat full with the way we created chances in that match. Hopefully the permit is all completed and the deal is all finalised ready for Stoke at home.
Ric Flair Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 He must be absolutely pissing himself at those sitters Nugent missed.
weller54 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Desperately need him to play against Stoke!!!!!!
dannyjpage Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Saw him take his seat in the stand today and shake hands with top and whelan. Want to see this work permit situation sorted ASAP.
Finnegan Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Will we play him over Ulloa? can't wait for him to be on the pitch Imagine he'll replace Nugent behind Leo.
Steven Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Imagine he'll replace Nugent behind Leo. Please.
Webbo Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Imagine he'll replace Nugent behind Leo. You'd think so, although Ulloa was poor today.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Imagine he'll replace Nugent behind Leo.Seems the obvious move yes
mugshot Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 You'd think so, although Ulloa was poor today. I thought Ulloa was good today, his hold up play was very good .....just unfortunately no goals....but if he holds up like that with Kramaric behind him then it could be a scary scenerio for other teams!
