tripe Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Two weeks too late. If they were to sack him it should have been before the close of the transfer window or they should have given him the benefit of the doubt until the summer He lost against Stoke and CP, the games he HAD to win, but, in my opinion, he made bigger mistakes during the transfer window when he didn't get an LB or an MC.
AKCJ Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 The stats don't lie. 9 points from the last 57 is nothing short of a disgrace, even in this league. That combined with his touchline/off the field antics sealed it. Nigel has been a great servant to the club, but enough was enough. We needed change. What antics? Just making it up as you go along. We've let the best manager we've had for over a decade go with nobody to replace him. Hope you're happy.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Absolute disgrace sacking Pearson now.. NOW if we get relegated we're well and truly ****ed losing the backbone of the team and the dressing room. How cant you Pearson Out twats and the Thai's not understand that this is Pearson's team and has the full backing of the dressing room, they don't play for Leicester they play for him. BOLLOCKS! So they only played for Pearson, and not the club? Are you on drugs? Pathetic twerp.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I hope he becomes a solid Premier League manager. This.
richard80014 Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 absolute belk end. Nothings gonna change now, if we wasnt down befoere we definitely are now. Shhhhh oh little one. Like I said you Pearsonites can jog on and real fans will still be here long after you to support the club. You can support your hero at his next club. Just make sure you are not too near him in the croud as he may do a flying kick on you if you disagree with him. Amazing how many Pearson lovers are so upset and throwing their toys out of the pram whereas the club supporters are all celebrating !!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic evening to be had now by real fans as we finally have some real hope. The Pearsonites could never blame the manager for anything but wait until the new manager comes in and they blame him for the weather!!!!! Now hopefully this will end the most awful pc brigade of football fans we have ever had the misfortune to witness and now allow real supports back into the game who speak the truth and want the best for our great club............
Kitchandro Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Truth is we are not a bad team - but maybe not good enough. Is it the payers? is it the manager? IT's both: any team even Chelsea could get better players in and would be a better team - but the manager controls the structure, organisation and tactics - would Chelsea be as good without Jose? No. Similarly our club would be better with a better manager - clearly ... and I believed the right route was for Pearson to work on his weaknesses and become that better manager... it is never a shame to admit you can improve... but NP seems to be a slow learner.. or is too proud. Simple thing have just not been addressed - e.g. conceding soft goals from set pieces. The PL is a big step up for everyone - and Pearson should have recognised that. What is strange , is that his slowness to learn was obvious months ago - so I don't understand why now... unless there was some row about yesterday? IT would have seemed best to get to the end of the season and then decide what's best for the club... I expect there has been a tiff. This just doesn't make sense. Well obviously the owners believed he could turn it around. Many people believed it was shit or bust yesterday, the last chance saloon. We blew it, and with all these tough games coming up it's probably the right time. If it takes the new man a while to find his best team, he'll be trying it out in games where we'd probably lose anyway. Again, I think the timing is probably right. I could make an argument for him staying before yesterday, after the match I couldn't.
ADK Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Would be hilarious if he went to QPR and kept them up and relegated us on the last day.
Unabomber Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 BOLLOCKS! So they only played for Pearson, and not the club? Are you on drugs? Pathetic twerp. Why do you always personally insult other posters?
BlueSi13 Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I can't believe what I'm reading on here from some people. Let me say it again: We're bottom. We've been bottom for several months now. We look like dead certs for relegation. It's not 'knee jerk', it's been coming. Let me say again, we haven't been a Premier League club for a decade. What did you expect!?
dogadug Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 All I can say is, I hope that when he does find a club and we're up against him that we're respectful, I wouldn't be surprised if our vile fans treat him like Hull do No chance at all of that happening mate. Remember when he came back here with Hull, stayed around after the final whistle and literally everyone stood on their feet and applauded him.
Killiefox Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Board have taken the easy option here use the McArthur incident as a excuse. If he has been sacked for that incident there will be no quick replacement. Philips and Shakey in temp charge I think. Yesterday was a must win game and the incident when we were 0-1 was the nail in the coffin
eastendfox Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Dismal. We have two games in the next seven days one of which could give us at least something for the season, and we choose to change now? I genuinely can't see an obvious choice to replace, and not noticing clubs changing managers at this time of the season turning it round. Now worrying we'll see the die broken up at the end of the season and the last few years will have been mostly wasted.

'REAL' fans wanted Pearson out. Remember the name, Richard80014.
whoareyaaa Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Haha some folk on here acting like they have been dumped by their first true love. When you lose a manager like MON thats when it really hurts when you have seen european nights and made Wembley your second home, lifted silverware and established as a premiership team. Fair play to the owners and i suspect 'throttlegate' has a lot to do with the sudden decision, remember we are not their charity, they run a global brand and when one of the figure heads of said global brand is caught telling supporters to **** off and die, come across as an arrogant prat on every media outlet going and then 'jokingly' strangles a player in front of a global audience and then to come out with to the press 'i can handle myself'.....it would test your patience. As for the players 'playing' for him and not the club, what scrap of evidence supports that fact, i suspect a fair few of them (knockeart, albrighton) who will be jumping for joy. hes not had a chance to do that mate
Dan Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Absolutely sick that it's come to this. I will decide what I think of this decision when I've seen the replacement. If we land a Warburton/Howe (not specifically him, he won't come here) then I'll be impressed, but a cop-out appointment like Dowie, Irvine etc... and I'll be thoroughly ashamed at what an awful decision we've made.
Stadt Posted 8 February 2015 Author Posted 8 February 2015 I'm really quite shocked and actually feel quite sad. However with 17% win rate and being bottom of the table then the only surprise is the timing. Surely the owners have someone lined up this time. Please be Di Mateo!! Roberto Di Matteo is an Italian retired footballer and current manager of Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga. Fußballclub Gelsenkirchen-Schalke 04 e. V., commonly known as FC Schalke 04 or simply abbreviated as S04, is a professional German association-football club and multi-sports club originally from the Schalke district of Gelsenkirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Schalke has long been one of the most popular professional football teams and multi-sports club in Germany
LJS Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I like Pearson and would have kept him. But I can fully understand why the owners have a different view. The notion that we should keep him based solely on the fact that he got us promoted after ten years away is annoying me, by the way. That he did so is a reflection of our terrible management over the years just as much as his own talent. It was an exception in the history of the club and I'd be amazed if we have to wait that long again. Cheers Nige, but long live the King and all that.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Would be hilarious if he went to QPR and kept them up and relegated us on the last day. If this happens ...... wow
Bugg Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 "Pearsonite" is such a lame term, I often stop reading someones post as soon as I see it.
CollinsLCFC Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Had a quick look online at odds for next manager, keeps changing rapidly. - I know it doesnt give anything away, but I like to have a look. MON - 4-1 Lennon - 6-1 K.Phillips - 10-1 Micky Adams - 66-1....
Jakemoore Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 We won't be playing in the premier league now for a long long time after may. I'm ****ed off. We will be the new laughing stock of football.
MHC Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 The same Di Matteo who is currently managing Shalke? Next. Also, what is with the Lennon thing? What has he done to suggest he'll do a job here? Clutching at straws. I was asked who I wanted not who I thought we would realistically get.
MooseBreath Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 What antics? Just making it up as you go along. We've let the best manager we've had for over a decade go with nobody to replace him. Hope you're happy. What antics? Are you kidding
