His line-Ups recently have been criticised by many, and these were the people that had trust in a man who won the title so convincingly last season. Truth is, he went a bit loopy this year and at the moment as a manager, is out of his depth.

We wp were obviously chatting about the club and all three of us kept going back to the comment 'why can't the manager see it'? None of us called for his head in the conversation but we were all dumbfounded by his stubbornness around his formations and tactics. no idea who will be given the 'holy grail' but it's a problem. A man capable of managing at PL level may not be able to keep us up, given the circumstances. That person may not be cut out for the championship. If we get a championship type manager in, then it says to me that Nigel was sacked for his conduct.

Thousands & thousands of fans will be gutted, but that's the way football is, owners stated their plans while in the Premier League, and Pearson hasn't delivered them. The Venkys stated their plan too.

I just hope we can get in the right man to play according to some set system. A philosophy if you like. Most of us who have cared to look (apologies to Mark w and Matt P) have realised that our tactical selections and team choices have been all over the bloody place this season. Hopefully now we can adopt a style of play that suits this tough division and can get the players playing it. I still think it's funny timing though. If it was going to happen it should have been around Christmas time. Being a City fan is never dull. he was given a chance by the owners Col and he didn't turn it round so now has to be the time, they had no choice

Signs are promising. Southampton sacked Adkins in similar fashion. Yet for every Southampton there is a Norwich City, Fulham, Cardiff City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Portsmouth, Leeds United, Coventry City, Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest, Derby County, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town, Blackburn Rovers, Birmingham City etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
