Kitchandro Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Right decision for me, I don't think the timing is poor at all really. The board gave Nigel the chance to turn things around but he hasn't, and yesterday's match probably summed up why he should go. Leaving a recent £10m purchase on the bench in a match we simply had to win, was unforgivable. Basically, he was given every chance to keep us up but the owners obviously feel the same as me - that yesterday's result has pretty much domed us. Now, there's a small chance a man could come in and completely revitalise our fortunes, but either way, we've regressed this season and Pearson is clearly not capable of keeping us up. The aim now is to find someone who can take us up and keep us up. We're a big enough club and have enough potential at the club to do that. I'm grateful for what Nigel has done for us, we've had some good times. But I think this was the right time for him to go.
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 There really are some strange people on this forum. All those defending the behaviour of Pearson, take a long hard look at yourselves. He'd clearly lost the plot. And the touchline incident WAS bizarre. Thanks Nigel..last season was bloody sensational. But for the good of your health mate, take a break and see what happens. Our best manager since MON, bar none.
Jakemoore Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Probably the wrong decision. Definitely the wrong timing. End of the best era I can really remember as a Leicester Fan. A new chapter begins. Will it be good or will it be bad? Who knows? Thanks for the memories Nigel, you're one of a kind, but I think the stress of the job definitely got to you.
MooseBreath Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Sigh. We're going down and we're going down with no dignity. Who exactly is coming in and saving us? This is a massive appointment, make no mistake of it. Implying that Pearson was taking us down with dignity... you saw what happened yesterday? Dignified isn't quite the right word.
RowlattsFox Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 This place is going to be a nightmare from now on. We stay up and there will be I told you do's, we go down and be shit next year there will be I told you so's. Massive choice, didn't go well for norwich, Fulham and cardiff did it.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Hope the Thai's realise they can't come crawling back for a third time when they realise a big name manager is fcking useless and the right man for the job all along was the bloke they had before.
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I really don't get it. If we were to go down, (and i fully think we will now) then Pearson would have been the best man to get us back up. Martin O'Niel for me. ONE NIGEL PEARSON THERES ONLY ONE NIGEL PEARSON ONE NIGEL PEARSON THERES ONLY ONE NIGEL PEARSON LETS AIR THIS AGAINST VILLA AND ARSENAL. Bollox you **** You should support the club, come rain or shine NOT a manager who may come or go You Tosser!

Yes, because that's going to be brilliant for the new manager, and the team.
Harry the Cat Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 NO No No No nooooooooooooooo I agree with the comments that Nige's fragile temperament in recent weeks will have helped determine his fate. His loyalty to his players has come back to haunt him. But despite recent results, we must be thankful for what he did for our club, in giving us one of the best seasons in our recent history. We have to move on and stick behind the team. Foxes never quit!
Kitchandro Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Awful decision. **** this club. We're bottom of the league. Even if we were a small club like Burnley you could argue it was the right decision. I'm not really sure how you can argue it's 'awful'. What do you expect if you're team is bottom for the best part of 4 months?
Robin JD Popley Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I know some of you may not agree with me or some others saying this now, but in the end, I think this will be one of the best decisions our owners have made. We have gone as far as we can under Nigel and I think they've (our owners) realised this too.

Number 6 Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Great decision about time anyone who doesn't back it **** off to which eve club that clown goes to next.Mark w go cry and find a new club you little cocksuck r How could anyone disagree with such an eloquent argument.

Cardiff were midtable, hardly comparable. It's worked out for other clubs but you don't mention them.
benpicko Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Shame to see certain people almost gloating in his sacking, pathetic support. He should have stayed. I agree, but also people being racist to the owners because of his sacking. Pathetic on both ends from some people. Saw it coming but shouldn't have taken this long if it was. Can see a lot of people leaving now (perhaps why it's happened now rather than the transfer window?)

I will be totally surprised if your a genuine LCFC fan. Cretin.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 The owners are idiots. I would have never want Nigel sacked and it's even more nonsensical that they sack him with no adequate replacement out there. Nigel was a good manager and a thoroughly decent man who the players played for and looked up to. Madness.
shailen Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 We spent around 10 million on a player who the next manager may not even play. What is up with the timing? Although I didnt want him to be sacked, I can understand the decision but the timing is unreal
whoareyaaa Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 awful decision really at least let him see it out, hes a good manager all round we have had no one better since O'Neill he was building a good team. Watch ARRY roll up now.
Master Fox Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 We were heading for our worst ever season under Nige. At least we've given ourselves a fighting chance now.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss about flaming time Hopefully now all the Pearsonites will leave the club also as they clearly loved the man rather than the club. If they claim to be real fans then they should back whoever comes in like they backed nasty Nigel. However, we all know they want and will now slag the club off as they never really supported LCFC they just had a crush on big Nige. Bye bye Nigel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .....
