sdb Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Completely turned the club around...twice. Thanks for not making me embarrassed and depressed to support lcfc like every other manager over the last 15 years has done.
JonnyBoy Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Sad he is gone. But at the end of the day, lcfc is a business ran by ruthless business men who want results. We're not ran like the WRVS cafe in the royal infirmary
MHC Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I am not happy, pearson has earnt the right to get us relegated. How can ANYBODY earn that?!
Ian S Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 For those of you who have wanted him out regardless of his success you have your wish.Lets see where we are this time next season when you will be moaning again as we languish in mid table mediocrity in the Championship with Pearson probably making a promotion push with a new club.I have endured too many years of crap at my club with a succession of idiots running our team and to let our 2nd best manager in the last 30+ years go is gutting. People have very short memories.
Haydos Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Can't see anything better out there at the moment. Not sure I understand this decision, absolutely gutted. Would have given him another chance at promotion of we do go down.
funkyrobot Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 We've played the best football under Pearson than I can remember and my city memories started way back with Pleat. He is up there with MON for me and played a much more attractive brand of football. The fact that there are no obvious candidates to replace him makes me even more confused. Our loss will be someone else's gain and we could well be back to the revolving door of poor managers that we experienced after MON and before Pearson and (after him the first time we showed him the door.) The one thing that united the anti Pearson mob on here was a lack of any suggestion for a replacement. They simply wanted him out. Well they've got their way but I guess they'll simply sharpen their knives for the next mug who takes us on.
Raj Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Good luck to him.and thanks for what he has done. I may have lost some love for him of late but we all must appreciate what he has done. X
blueoveru Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Sentimental history is no good, its what you achieve in each and every Season that makes you successful......NP was past his sell-by date as his results have shown this Season the Thai's need good publicity in the far East they certainly haven't got that so far.........in saying this I believe it is too late to save our Season it should have happened early December to give the next man a chance
Leicestermad85 Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 It's mad how people have somehow come to the conclusion that he'll never be a premier league manager when he's only had about half a ****in season in this league
ScouseFox Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 now he ain't our manager id like to offer nige the job as my spare dad
jvossy Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Devastated to hear big nige has departed, thanx for all the good times and memories, which far outdo the negatives, good luck Nigel and you'll be back in football very soon, best wishes jvossy and amber aka Lincolnshire foxes
lcfcfoz Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Just like to thank him for what he has achieved for us, and getting us back to the Premiership, good luck in your future.
LCCFox96 Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Thank you for everything you've done for the club Nigel! Best of luck in the rest of your career. He will always get a heroes welcome from me when he returns to the King Power.
sdb Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Hope people don't turn on the owners. Can see why they've done it and they're as much the reason for our recent success/stability as NP. So sad though...
C.J Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Genuinely gutted he's gone, I thought our owners would of been more patient than that. Might as well of stuck with him, he would of got us back up next season no question. Not sure what we hope to achieve now after the transfer window has shut and there's not many good managers out of work. This is going to be a massive blow, and I fear it'll take us a while to recover. Thanks for the memories Nige. Part of me is still wanting to believe this isn't true.
Tielemans63 Posted 8 February 2015 Author Posted 8 February 2015 Can't see anything better out there at the moment. Not sure I understand this decision, absolutely gutted. Would have given him another chance at promotion of we do go down. Absolutely. Those fans cheering his demise might not be quite as chipper when Billy Davies gets appointed until the end of the season.
Spicer Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 He has saved us financially and has got us promoted twice. He should be a club legend.
Webbo Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Thanks for everything Nige. You gave us pride and good times. I certainly won't be dancing on your grave.
