Tielemans63 Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I'm absolutely gutted he's gone but I would hope even those who hate him would at least recognise his contribution to our football club. We're in a far better position now than when he came back and no one can argue with that.
Tuna Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I'm sorry that it had to end this way but he should have been relieved of duty months ago. However, that should not take away from the fact that on the whole he did an amazing job at the club over the last 7 years in both spells, so thanks for the good times and good luck for the future.
The Blur Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Thanks for all you have done Nigel especially how you have transformed the club and its ethics, I think you still should have not been sacked. Best of luck in your next job.
Charl91 Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 As much as his decisions pissed me of sometimes, I'm gutted about this. We owe this man a lot. I didn't want him gone.
theessexfox Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Hope his memories and appreciation of the club aren't soured, he and the fans have had a good relationship for a few years on the whole.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Best manager in my time where i can remember more than vague MON days. Did himself no favours this season though but this is a month too late
Stadt Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 A manager of not only the team but the whole club, thanks for fantastic memories, great football and more importantly restoring pride into a stagnating club.

Completely agree. I hope all fans, even those who have wanted him long gone, can realise what the man has done for this club. It must never be forgotten. It's been a while since I felt so proud to be a Leicester fan. Thank you Nige and good luck wherever you go. Now the appointment is so crucial. Otherwise sacking him is nonsensical.
Cropwellfox Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I wanted him out during the horrible run 2 years ago but I ate my words last year. He did a great job. Some pretty odd behaviour over the last few months which started with his 'everything in our club is better than then' rant at Burnley, since which we've amassed 8 points. Who knows whether anybody else would do better but with 3 away games where we're hardly expected to get anything anyway, if there was a time for us to regroup and change our approach it's now. Am sure Pearson will have success elsewhere, but we need to scrap our way out of trouble this year and very little since September suggested he'd be able to lead us through.
m4DD0gg Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Despite wanting him sacked and now he has i am happy credit where credit is due, thank you for getting us promoted and i hope you have learnt some lessons on a professional level about how to handle management and the various responsibilities that go with that in the premier league. Gone but not forgotten...
AKCJ Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I'm absolutely gutted. I'd have stuck with him even if we didn't get another point this season. Everything about him was perfect for Leicester City in the long run. I don't even know what to say, he's been the best manager we've had since Martin O'Neill. I'll buy him a beer and thank him graciously if ever I see him. I imagine Championship clubs are on red alert. Could see him going somewhere like Leeds and being a serious success.
Finchy Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Over the last 10 years the only good times have been under Pearson. He made us competitive, rescued us at our lowest point and gave us Premier League football again. Let that be his legacy. The way he has been spoken about, since about October, has been an absolute disgrace by a lot of our fans.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Genuinely saddened by this, we're f*****! And not just for this season, for a long long time. Thank you Nigel for all the good you did for us.

Jakemoore Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 One Nigel Pearson, there's only one Nigel Pearson, one Nigel Pearson, there's only one Nigel Pearson. I'm sorry that the club have sacked him. I am not happy, pearson has earnt the right to get us relegated. He has brought so much success to us that a year back in the championship would see us repeat but maybe not now. Also, it is too late in the season. We will 100% go down now then. First time I've doubted you thais. Collo73 Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 wrong decision long term for me but the owners have been patient to be fair. Thanks for the good times nige and what a cracking season it was last year. I for one will clap him when he returns with a new club in the future. Next stop STRINGER out!!!!
Deucalion Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I'm not surprised by this at all, and it might even be the best thing for the club. But...I will still remember how he turned the club around from our lowest point with that fantastic season in League One, and how we finished in the playoffs in our first season back in the Championship. I will also remember how chuffed I was when he returned from Hull to finish the job he started. I will also remember the gems he signed and his masterclass in building a successful Championship side while shedding deadwood players and balancing the books. I liked his surely no-nonsense attitude and the fact he would do things his way, regardless of pressure to do otherwise. The latter might have been his undoing at Leicester, but this is forgotten now, he has done far more good for the club than bad. All the best you miserable git, you will always get a round of applause from me when you roll up at the King Power Stadium.
