Deucalion Posted 8 February 2015 Author Posted 8 February 2015 The Mail reckon Dorsett's source was one of Pearson's staff. The thing is, from supporting Pearson I had come to the conclusion it was time for a change. So when I heard he was sacked I was sad but thought it was the right thing to do. But then when I heard it wasn't true, I was so relieved !! I don't know what I think now. Might as well just watch the rest of the season and see what happens?
RedSoxUK Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 There was probably a board meeting in reaction to the MacArthur incident, not Pearson's future - that alone is speculation for Pearson being sacked.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2944940/Nigel-Pearson-understood-sacked-Leicester-Foxes-stranded-bottom-Premier-League.html The amount of inaccuracies, or wtf sources in this.. "After the club seemingly changed their mind over whether to sack him." "Members of Pearson’s staff had been informed that he had left the club," " McArthur cried out ‘get off me’" "The club’s owners were not impressed and that, coupled with only two league wins since September, meant the club held a meeting to discuss his future." "arguing with Leicester fans." (use of plural)
Arkie Bennett Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 We should blitz @skysportsnewshq with the same twitter storm response Fox News received for misreporting Birmingham as a Muslim-only city. #skysportsfacts
kingfox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 " McArthur cried out ‘get off me’" Dorsett will be saying that when Pearson gets hold of him in his next press conference.
Unabomber Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Funny thing is Pearson is actually best friends with Rob Dorset's dad
cjslcfc Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Funny thing is Pearson is actually best friends with Rob Dorset's dad So he could easily have been the source?? Edit: unless you're completely making that up...
catfordfox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 . I can imagine it being something as daft as the owners bollocking him for throttling McArthur and Pearson telling them to **** off in the heat of the moment thats the most convincing explanation ive heard so far
LanguedocFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Unbelievable that the Club would not have clarified the situation if the original story was incorrect. But stranger things have happened. Very difficult when some desperate-for-news-any-news satellite TV station broadcasts, on a Sunday evening, as fact a rumour from some ITK kn0bhead. This all seems a lot like when Moyes was fired, everyone knew and then it was confirmed the next day. Nothing like when Moyes was fired because the suits at Man U said nothing. LCFC have categorically stated that "Contrary to media speculation on Sunday evening, Nigel remains the Club’s First Team Manager. Reports to the contrary are inaccurate and without foundation."
LanguedocFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I still think he'll be gone within the next week, beginning of the end sadly. Why do you think that? More likely that NP's safe at least until the end of the season - and if when he keeps us up, he will be bombproof forever.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I’ve only just seen his jobbish boast of he can look after himself. National TV also broadcasted around the world, embarrassing. Anyone of the many who have visited Thailand will know this is far from their nature being Buddhist, even raising your voice is offensive. The owners have been very careful with how they have handled the club and as well as the football are here to promote Thailand as a nation and the King Power brand. They have done their bit; they would be very upset of his recent thug like bizarre actions, whilst initially jovial the undercurrent was plain to see. Flying in monks to bless the ground and for him to give it ‘large’ when hardly in a position to stinks in most of our eyes, they would be appalled. Dead man limping.
Vlad the Fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Yes maybe, but we're not in Thailand. They're intelligent people and will be fully aware of the differences in culture, maybe even enjoy the differences. Why on earth would you get involved in a football club if these things would offend you.
Callabinho Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 It wouldn't surprise me if they've offered MON the job with the view to sacking NFP, however MON has either declined the offer, or is mulling it over. I've heard from a very reliable source that MON name was being loosely banned around the club, I agree with Flair I don't see this as a confidence boost, more like "shit they know before he does, quick deny all knowledge". My theory is that they are planning to sack NP, however are waiting on an answer from the intended replacement, someone leeks the story to sky, obviously NP isn't aware yet so they deny all knowledge, however we will find out sooner or later....
harpendenfox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I wonder of Dorsett's trusted source is our very own Mr Random Silly (Jeff Peters) who is well connected at the Club and hasn't contributed to these debates as far as I can see. Is Random Silly holding the smoking gun on the grassy knoll?

You think this source i.e one of NP's back-room staff is playing sly games?

Having worked in several countries in the Far East I agree with your views on how this would be perceived in the region. The owners are in charge of the club so any incident which could damage the reputation of the club could be seen as an unacceptable 'loss of face' to them. This is nothing to do with performances on the pitch - if we were well up the league and an unacceptable incident happened then I would expect it to be viewed in the same light. NP will have to be very careful from now on, the next incident will probably be his last.
Kitchandro Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I love how Dorsett tried to make out there'd been a 'change of heart' more like you were being fed bullshit in the first place Rob you snivelling twat!
Mark Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I love how Dorsett tried to make out there'd been a 'change of heart' more like you were being fed bullshit in the first place Rob you snivelling twat! If he's been told by people high up/on the staff he's not going to keep it a secret is he? Chances are that info has been passed to other sources too and he's been spot on with us in the past so clearly there something was more in it whether you like it or not.
justfoxes Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Odds on Martin Oneill retururning are pretty decent I can see a florist thing going on here sack the manager and then an hour later announce the new manager !! Sounds like tonight's moan in is going to be interesting !!
Vlad the Fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Interesting to just see Bruce commenting on 'rubbish reporting' on sky sports.
