DennisNedry Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 We consistently fail to get many, or any, shots on target in games despite good possession and creating chances. We consistently defend very poorly and gift the opposition goals. This means we will continue to lose the majority of our games. We simply are not good enough at either end of the pitch. It is nothing to do with being unlucky. So stop using it as an excuse.
Grewks Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I agree it isn't luck.... But I don't buy into the whole 'you make your own luck' rubbish. Used by teams that get lucky.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I don't think many people think we are exclusively "unlucky" do they. We have had some bad luck, granted. I think what most people say is we consistently put in noteworthy performances, fail to take our chances, make silly individual errors and concead too many set pieces and lose most games by one or two goals. You can't really argue with that.
DennisNedry Posted 10 February 2015 Author Posted 10 February 2015 been pretty unlucky tonight imo How do you expect us to score when we haven't had a shot on target? And how to you expect to keep a clean sheet when we don't mark from corners and our keeper palms a shot straight to Theo Walcott. The only logical result is a defeat, you are delusional mate if you think it's unlucky, sorry.
MHC Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 been pretty unlucky tonight imo No we haven't, sure we have played okay but we haven't been unlucky. We are sloppy in the final third and sloppy when defending, nothing to do with luck it's...I don't know what the problem is. Poor training, poor tactics, poor players?
purpleronnie Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Never understood why missing chances is deemed unlucky.
MHC Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Never understood why missing chances is deemed unlucky. I know. It should be classed as incompetent.
RowlattsFox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 It's not luck but it's bloody frustrating. At times we are not the worst side in the league but we are where it matters.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 That goal was unlucky. FOR ARSENAL!!! :scarf:
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 According to sky, Arsenal are holding on and we are playing out of our skins

Played well tonight, again Unlucky might not be the right term but we've had the chances to get a point in not more.
Nalis Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 The first Liverpool penalty given against us was unlucky. Missing chance after chance in any given game is not unlucky.
shailen Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Better sides in a number of games, but we dont take our chances. Not really our luck, but our poor finishing and comical defending at times
Kitchandro Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 been pretty unlucky tonight imo No we haven't. We picked Morgan again, surprise surprise he costs us again. All these failures are our own making. So what if we have a load of possession? It's quality on the ball you need, not quantity. Mahrez is a prime example. He always looks dangerous, he does some very good things, but when it comes to his final ball or shot, he has no end product most of the time.
ScouseFox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 yeah surprisingly i still wasn't being serious
Dr The Singh Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 MAny championship sides say the same thing when they are in the prem. Fact of life, we've not been able to cross that thin line
Corky Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 been pretty unlucky tonight imo Have a word mate, ridiculous comment.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Have a word mate, ridiculous comment. Embarrassing comment that that is ridiculous that.
Matt Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 We were unlucky on a whole but key factors contribute and those key factors aren't down to luck, they are individual mistakes and players that are lacking quality. Our gameplay is good, hard working you cannot deny that. Poor defending and not taking our chances is what's cost us not bad luck.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 A return of just 2 wins from 17 doesn't imply bad luck. It implies errors. Harsh, but true,
SystonFox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 yeah surprisingly i still wasn't being serious Yeah but mate there is no such thing as luck you know. It's a myth. The illuminati. This is just like that Jimmy Kebe deadline day deal
