GaelicFox Posted 14 February 2015 Author Posted 14 February 2015 He doesn't strike me as someone so obsessed with money it would decide which league he played in. A player of his skill level and with his technique could thrive in La Liga. I have seen him in the casino in town plenty ...all gamblers by nature obsessed with "more" , me included But I agree the time and space he would get in Spain would see him thrive
GaelicFox Posted 14 February 2015 Author Posted 14 February 2015 Another doom and gloom thread is just what is needed on here Could be an FA cup winner before he goes , so not all grim I suppose Lyon for £10mil. Good shout that , not sure €13m would be there usual spend
ealingfox Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Imagine how good he could get after getting some decent coaching. We need to take that into account when putting our valuation together.
JIMMYWILLIS Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 He really isn't top four class. I think a move abroad most likely but staying here the best he might get is Everton, West Ham etc. he is nowhere near arsenal quality
Unabomber Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 He really isn't top four class. I think a move abroad most likely but staying here the best he might get is Everton, West Ham etc. he is nowhere near arsenal quality The fact that he tore them apart at will on Tuesday suggests otherwise imo.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Lyon for £10mil. Lyon haven't spent that amount on anybody for some time. He's a fan of Marseille so I think that'd be his dream move. I'd be disappointed to see him play for another English club.
Guest MattP Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 No chance of him ending up at Wigston Car Breakers.
NewquayFox Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 I think he will stay with City, shows flashes of brilliance but not quite the all round finished article, and will only get better if he stays with us..... (hope he reads this and stays)
LCCFox96 Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 If we went down I think we could fend off interest until January for him. We usually tell teams to walk on, but that all depends on if he wants to stay or not. He's a cut above the Championship and probably the most talented player I've ever seen in a Leicester shirt but he's not the complete article yet. It all depends if he wants to continue developing with us or move on to a bigger stage. I could see him ending up at Southampton, Swansea or Everton.
Stevosevic Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 I think he will stay with City, shows flashes of brilliance but not quite the all round finished article, and will only get better if he stays with us..... (hope he reads this and stays) He won't be prepared to play championship football next season. Hes adjusted to this level and looks the part. He needs to develop at this level now.

I'd be disappointed to see him play for another English club. Marseille's probably a better shout in which case. Would have no qualms about him joining them either. Rather him play for them than be a bit-part for PSG.
AyewJoking Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 I think he'll go to Sunderland if they stay up, probably around 3-4 million.
NewquayFox Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 We might stay up if he gets a few goals during the run in hopefully Stevosevic.....
Guest MattP Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Still baffles me how no one spotted this bloke playing for Le Havre. Another reason to keep our current regime tbh, how many other scouting networks are going to whip players like this out for 400k.
lcfc81 Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Am I right in thinking he has a year and a half left on his contract? If so then that will play a factor.
Stevosevic Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Am I right in thinking he has a year and a half left on his contract? If so then that will play a factor. Two and a half years.
lcfc81 Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 I've just checked, he is a year into a 3 1/2 year contract, As long as he doesn't have a release clause I wouldn't sell unless it was for silly money, The season we went down with Adams and kept Izzet we were immense, Izzet was just a cut above almost everyone in the league. I feel with Mahrez we would have similar. Of course money talks, and with the new premiership contract we might have no choice,
lcfc81 Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Two and a half years. Cheers Stevosevic, It makes me much more confident we can at least get reasonable money for him, I just hope he has no clauses and is not too stroppy!
Stadt Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 He doesn't need to bulk up at all, Riyad's game is about being agile with some pace to get away from players, he's naturally skinny too so even if he spent all of his time in the gym he's not going to be 'not lightweight'. These figures being bandied about don't meant that he's worth £12 million but we're well off as a club, he's got years left on his contract still and we don't have to sell him unless he really wants to go, when shitcunts like McCormack go for £11m, Brown Ideye for £10m+ we're well within our rights to hold out for upwards of £10m.
