whitwickfox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 I can't see that he would have any clauses in his contract as we were in the championship when we bought him
cullenfox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Knowing our luck a club like Chelsea or Man Utd will offer a low sum knowing that it will unsettle him and then we'll be forced to sell him for that amount or risk lose him for nothing later. Hate when the bigger clubs do this kind of thing.
VLC86 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 If Mahrez was playing consistently well, in a good team, destined for mid-table safety in the Prem, I'd say his value would be considerably more than playing in a side looking like relegation favourites. If we go down, and a bigger team make a reasonable offer, it would be difficult not to cash-in. I'd say, realistically, somewhere between 5-10 million absolute tops. Keeping it vague so we can get an 'I told you so' in the summer, nice.
cullenfox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 I'd definitely want to charge as much as we possibly can for him. That way we could bring in someone else. Hopefully we'd fetch at least 10 million for him.
cc_star Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 I wouldn't pay 50p for him on /today's/ showing Dire
Dr The Singh Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 He is going to the punjab as a chapati maker at this rate!
DennisNedry Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 On today's performance, worth about £250k.
cullenfox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 If we sell him, I'd rather he go to anyone but Chelsea. Arrogant little berks.
filbertway Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 I hope scouts were watching him today, not that he particularly had much of a chance today, the amount of times Simpson tried to become a 4th center back and pointed to Mahrez to come into his position he spent more time at RB than in the opposition half.
ScouseFox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 yeah based on today we're stuck with him until his contract runs out, shame
cjslcfc Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 yeah based on today we're stuck with him until his contract runs out, shame what a shame we have to put up with a player of his ability for 2 and a half years.
st albans fox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Delph made a couple of physical challenges and he didn't fancy it afterwards. I expect our upcoming opposition will have noted that.
Lesta2014 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Over rated in my opinion! Loses the ball, limited any product, only 3 goals scored, how many assists 3 max??
cjslcfc Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Over rated in my opinion! Loses the ball, limited any product, only 3 goals scored, how many assists 3 max?? Loses the ball because he actually tries passes that aren't sideways. He certainly isn't the finished article and needs to work on his finishing. However, he is only 23 and has actually played very little first team football. He has so much potential for improvement and he's already turned PL defences inside and out all season. He'd have tonnes more assists if our players could finish (himself included I guess). He didn't have a good game today but that doesn't mask the fact he has been a massive threat all season and is continually improving.
CosbehFox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Over rated in my opinion! Loses the ball, limited any product, only 3 goals scored, how many assists 3 max?? 3rd in successful through balls, only Silva and Fabregas have more. Shame he has a set of strikers what miss those chances. Needs to work on his end product. It's a fact that scouts across Europe are looking at him thinking they could bag a bargain.
DennisNedry Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Pearson made post match comments regarding being frustrated with players who didn't play well today after a good performance at Arsenal. Think Mahrez is the main culprit along with Cambiasso.

Think Mahrez is the main culprit along with Cambiasso. He was so fed up with them, he left them on for 90 mins to teach them a lesson - tosser ( any other word relevant?)
Callabinho Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Anywhere, where he doesn't have to be consistent. He is a good player but....when he is shit, he's shit.
Rich Fox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Mahrez is class despite today and will no doubt be sold to cheap. Leicester fans have a bad record of writing players off who then go on to be top players elsewhere and it probably encourages them to leave.
Dan Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Worst performance in a Leicester shirt for me today.
cullenfox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 I'd still prefer if we could keep him. Really don't want to lose him.
