AKCJ Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 If we go down then the sale of Mahrez could keep us the right side of FFP, meaning we could probably strengthen in the summer more than others. Burnley will be sweating over relegation the most. Their club makes **** all and they're not going to get owt from Ings who is the only player you'd pay more than a couple of million (tops) for.
dayday Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 I think are lot of you are under-estimating how good he is,teams are doubling up on him, that's how much of a threat he is With all the money coming from Sky,I wouldn't accept less than £15 million

Burnley have hardly spent a brass farthing. They will be lauding it next season in comparison to last year. (If they go down that is)we know what a tight g*t lees hoos is. As far as RM is concerned, we won't have to sell him. If he wants to stay and help us back up then great. as I said earlier in the thread, if things look ropey come January, we can sell him then although his value will probably have dropped somewhat in the autumn. our financial situation is the last of our worries next season. getting back up (if needs be) will be the toughest thing.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 The fact that he tore them apart at will on Tuesday suggests otherwise imo. And that was the second time he's done that this season. I'm sure Arsene hasn't forgotten him leaving Alexis and Per on the floor multiple times at the KP.
Guest Col city fan Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Salah 11 million Markovic 20 million Lamela 30 million How much do you think we could get for Mahrez? If Mahrez was playing consistently well, in a good team, destined for mid-table safety in the Prem, I'd say his value would be considerably more than playing in a side looking like relegation favourites. If we go down, and a bigger team make a reasonable offer, it would be difficult not to cash-in. I'd say, realistically, somewhere between 5-10 million absolute tops.
GaelicFox Posted 14 February 2015 Author Posted 14 February 2015 Why not loan him to a Prem team. If we came back up at the first attempt we could have him back with 1.5 yrs left on his contract, if we didn't we could sell him at the end of next season. That's a serious good shout
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Depends what state we're in financially if we go down. If we don't need to sell him we'll hold out for what we think he's worth.

We'll be secure financially, surely?! The money and parachute payments are ridiculous. It really is the only time you're rewarded for failure. The only thing is if players want to leave. There's no point in keeping players here if they want to leave, regardless of their ability, and we all know about the lack of loyalty these days.

Yes course we will , debt free, good following , nice payments and a rich owner , we will be totally fine
CosbehFox Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Kramaric being scouted two years prior to us actually buying him as well. We've got one of the best scouting set ups in the country IMO. But people wanted it destroyed with short termism. He will go abroad unless an English club offers silly.
mugshot Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 He really isn't top four class. I think a move abroad most likely but staying here the best he might get is Everton, West Ham etc. he is nowhere near arsenal quality The fact Wenger said he is world class would suggest otherwise....it wouldnt surprise me if Wenger went in for him given his gushing comments about Mahrez and the french connection too!
cullenfox Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 I don't suppose there's any chance that we'll actually keep him? Definitely not a player I'd want to sell.
Tuna Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 You are all discounting the possibility that he could stay. if no one meets our asking price, he stays. I'm sure Norwich expected to lose Redmond.

GaelicFox Posted 14 February 2015 Author Posted 14 February 2015 Joking right? Ronaldo's brother from another mother

LeicesterAreGoingUp Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 I've love us to convince him to go on loan for a year and then see where we are after that, cant see it though. Somewhere abroad £9m +
cullenfox Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Think we should do what we can to keep him here. Been absolutely brilliant for us this season. We'll struggle a bit if we lose him, unless we get someone in who would be just as good.
J.Lisemore Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 In reality he should go for £8M+, but knowing us over the years we'll offload him for under £4M. If I were to pick a team he'd probably go to, I'd say Roma.
