ImBlue Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 What planet are you from? If I were you, I'd go back. We put a bid in of £7m for mccgoldrick. And people think he's worth £3-5m?
narboroughblue Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 Contracted until 2017 I read today so unless he kicks up a massive fuss if we go down then the cards are in our favour in terms of transfer fee. Some of the crazy prices paid suggest he could go for quite a bit and I hope that is the case of we sell.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 People have said it and they're right, his age and potential added to the fact we don't have to sell makes his price basically whatever we want it to be, with 2 years left on his deal if nobody wants to meet that valuation he'll stay put whether he likes it or not.
NewquayFox Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 We might stay in the Premier League if Mahrez starts trying to play a bit of football and actually scoring or creating a few goals, he certainly hasn't done that in the last few games,....
st albans fox Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 7 million to spurs according todays sun so i'm told. Anyone buying him is running a risk - especially if he is moving to a big city like london. He isn't on a crazy wage here and he will never have earned big money before as he will on his next contract. Will be a big change in his lifestyle and no one knows how he would respond to such temptations outside football and how that, in turn might affect his game.

Anything less than 15 mill is no risk. He is quality and for me is worth at least that.
Rich Fox Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Mahrez is a lot better than what most City fans think. We will sell him for way under the odds and someone will get a real bargain as we always give our players away for way below their value. Our fans have terrible record for writing players off who go on to slap us in the face years later. It's because he is having his game restricted covering back we are not utilising him properly same as Kramaric who is best player we have by a long way
st albans fox Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Sometime I think I speak Swahili on here. I was just pointing out that money and temptation can do strange things to a young footballer. No one is surely doubting his ability.
J.Lisemore Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 7m is peanuts for the potential this lad has got. Should be double figures at least if we were going to sell him.
Stevosevic Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 I wish him well. Been surrounded by shit this season.
LCFC FOX Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Will do well in a Spurs side, great opportunity for him. Good luck Riyad

It's because he is having his game restricted covering back we are not utilising him properly same as Kramaric who is best player we have by a long way Ive never saw anyone on here apart from Kingfox maybe who doesn't rate the lad. If anything a lot of our fans overrate him imo. Regarding his price I wouldn't sell for anything under £10 million, we don't need the money, he's still got a couple of years on his contract. And judging by some prices players go for Riyad is worth a lot more, if he was English he'd be valued around £15/20 million.
lgfualol Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 7m plus a **** ton of add-ons I hope. Surely we can squeeze more from Levy, they paid like 30m for Soldado. Still think he would do better in Italy/Spain.
FrankieADZ Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 feel for him if he went Spurs with all the midfielder's & that they've got there, poor sod will be stuck on the bench or rotting in the reserves
Sharpe's Fox Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 He's better than shoot on sight Townsend and Lamela has been pony ever since he landed on Blighty.
reynard Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 I can't really see him getting into the Spurs team at the moment. He's just not consistent enough. Next season decent full backs will have had a season to look at him and will have worked out ways of negating him. He looks better than he is because of the sheer paucity of the surrounding players. Current market value is around 5 million I would have thought. One of our few bright sparks this season but not bright enough often enough for me.
Matt Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 feel for him if he went Spurs with all the midfielder's & that they've got there, poor sod will be stuck on the bench or rotting in the reserves He has a choice if he went there and that was the case then it's his fault. He deserves to go though, he's too good to be playing in the Championship and with the players we have here. I wish him well.
ScouseFox Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 he won't go to spurs and it won't be for 7 million. the sun have probably just completely made it up. just draw a name of a europa league club, a price between 3 and 15 million and the name of a decent player playing for a shit club. put them together in a headline. i've got charlie austin joining everton for 14 million. might email the sun with that now actually.

He can be very good, but then again we've seen him do jack shit in some games. He is not worth 10 million plus, he is too inconsistent to be worth anything like 15 million say.
whitwickfox Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 He has great technical ability just a shame we can't get the best out of him in this very poor side. Sadly probably the first of the Many who will leave, then back to rebuilding for the next three years. How we missed a massive opportunity this season.
fazzyfox Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 This summer he will become the first signing for Newcastles new manager......Nigel Pearson!
FrankieADZ Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 He has a choice if he went there and that was the case then it's his fault. He deserves to go though, he's too good to be playing in the Championship and with the players we have here. I wish him well. thought Lazio were linked to him this season too. personally i think he'd do better there.
