Wasyl - 6 - One of the few bright sparks. Wes - 5 - Typical wes. Threw himself about a lot but seriously lacking in quality. What was he doing for the second? Upson - 5 - Steady. Not shown enough to say that he deserves a first team spot ahead of Wasyl or Huth for me. Konchesky - 6 - Yeah I thought he was decent. Cambiasso - 5 - Didn't get on the ball enough in areas that will hurt the opposition. James - 7 - MOTM, hustled and bustled and came up with some good moments of quality. Seriously unlucky not to score. Mahrez - 3 - One of his worst games for us. Back to his form earlier in the season where, after one good game, he thinks hes Messi and wants to take on the world. Couldn't beat one of the league's worst left backs. Schlupp - 5 - Didn't do an awful lot but worked hard and came up with a peach of a cross for the goal. Kramaric - 7 - Fed on scraps but did actually look like he'd do something good. Fed the ball to him in a good area once and he scored a stunning header. Ulloa - 5 - Didn't get long to influence the game. Some neat touches though. Pearson - 4 - First half was quite good but the second was abject. Doesn't seem capable of dealing with opposition's tactical changes. Similar to the Palace game. Still, 100% stay.

Don't agree with Schlupp at a 5 though KingFox, he was very very poor. Nigel 3 too, I thought his selection and set up was poor, as well as Villa who aren't good but knocked us out with our best chance of getting into the latter stages in recent times.

Half of the game he didn't look interested and at one point was bent over adjusting his boots while we were attacking. Come inside far too often yet again. Not taking anything away from his cross for the goal though.

Simpson 3 - idiot foul, incompetent Wasyl- 5 Relativly competent Upson - 5 not bad, some issues Morgan - not really sure about him Konchesky 6 pretty competent Mahrez 5 didn't do anything awful but did not look a shadow of his usual self Cambiasso 5 not his best performance James 6 our best mid IMO Schlupp 5 good pace and good assist but needed to come off for Albrighton IMO Kramaric 7 miles beyond any of our team. Guest ttfn Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Schwarzer 4 - One good save. One absute howler that was just as bad (and costly) as a mistake which went for us in the previous round. Not quite sure I get the love in over the distribution either. It's accurate but very slow and his goal kicks barely reach the half way line. Simpson 2 - Atrocious. And not for the first time. Wasyl 5 - We looked more solid when he was on but it wasn't one of his better games. Morgan 4 - out of his depth at this level. And given that "this level" was a match against a side which may very well be in the championship next season is terrifying. Upson 6 - Thought he did ok Konchesky 6 - Thought he offered a decent-ish threat going down the left-hand side, and certainly offered more attacking threat than the bloke in front of him. Mahrez 3 - Only positive thing I can say about him today is at least he wants the ball and takes responsibility when we're attacking. James 7 - Great first half, weak second. Cambiasso 3 - His worst game for us. Passing abysmal, looked knackered after an hour. With hindsight shouldn't have started this one after 180 minutes in the last week. Schlupp 4 - Only a very decent cross when the game was lost saved him from a 3 or worse. Offered almost nothing for the entire game and worse still appeared to be actively hiding from getting involved. Kramaric 7- Didn't have a great game in possession but his anticipation is brilliant. Great header. Will score another 5 or 6 between now and the end of the season no problem. Subs: Ulloa 6 - Probably his best performance for us for a while. Hold up play wasn't as poor as recently and won some flick ons. Pearson 1 - had an absolute stinker. 5 at the back was never the right option for this game and then tried to fix the problem of us humping the ball to a slight centre forward by sticking a big centre forward on rather than bringing on a midfielder so that we could actually pass the ball out of defence. Then left Albrighton on the bench. Looks like he's lost the plot to me, but in the absence of any real alternatives he has to stay. Edit: ref 8 - credit where it's due, it wasn't a difficult game to referee but I think he got everything right today from what I saw.

Simpson 1 - Can't think of anything to award a positive for. Schlupp 7 - Must be the only one who thought he had a decent game, got an assist. Cambiasso 6 - Poor by his own standards. James 7 - Unlucky not to score. Mahrez 3 - Couldn't be bothered. Kramaric 6 - Scored a good header but otherwise selfish and lightweight.

Doesn't tackle, allowed Bacuna to just have a free shot and then that stupid foul at the end. Don't know why we signed him. Wasyl - 6 Looked solid and not sure why he went off. Morgan - 5 A better performance than usual from him. Missed an absolute sitter though. Upson - 6 Looked solid. Konch - 6 Don't remember him doing much wrong besides the odd wayward pass. Schlupp - 4 Tried all game but nothing came off for him until we were already dead and buried. James - 7 Our best player and only a world class save prevented him from scoring a great goal. Cambiasso - 2 His worst performance for us, just didn't seem to find his range of passing and this time it wasn't due to people not keeping up with him mentally. Mahrez - 2 He played? Kramaric - 6 Didn't get any supply until the 91st minute, when he proved how clinical he can be. Ulloa - 2 He's just gone to pot since the beginning of the season. Ref - 6 Arguably should have awarded a penalty. Besides that did nothing wrong. Aston Villa - 5 Not great, but didn't have to be. Pearson - 2 First half was good, we were the better side, then a change he made was followed up by them scoring in a situation in which the change affected.

For the record I thought James was excellent today. Cambiasso, Upson, Was and Kramaric were decent. They rest were woeful. Pearson's stubbornness/arrogance will be what gets him sacked. Only using one sub today was typical of his, "I know best and I couldn't give a toss what the rest of you think", attitude.

Jeff was our best outlet in the first half in my opinion, poor second half but did get an assist.

Embarrassing. Simpson - 2 - It's got to the point now that it's laughable he's in the team. De Laet is no Cafu but bloody hell he's not as bad as this guy! Takes him about 5 seconds to realise he's in possession of the ball! The foul at the end made me very very angry haha! Wasyl - 4 - Not his best game but not his worst. Gave the ball away too often in the first half and not really sure why he was subbed when Craptain Morgan was on the pitch. Big Wes - 2 - he looks as uncomfortable as Nugent and Drinkwater at this level Upson - 6 - decent performance, although every time he goes down I hold my breath Konchesky - 6 - He gets a lot of stick but he's relatively dependable. Good going forward today Schlupp - 3 - it was the Jeff I know and love today. Awful first touch, not really sure where he should be - then puts in a very good cross out of the blue for the goal James - 7 - so unlucky not to score. both him and esteban tired in the second half but he was our best player in the first half Cambiasso - 4 - poor performance from him today, wasteful and a bit naive. Needs to do the basics and understand no one is even nearly on his page Mahrez - 5 - again - not his best game but he's the one who wants the ball all the time. Kramaric - 7 - He's basically an upgrade on Nugent. Does all the running Nuge does but can actually do the football bit too. Subs: Ulloa - 5 - actually won quite a lot in the air and the ball stuck to his feet unlike in recent weeks. Nige: Stay - 1 - got it horrifically wrong. Going to Villa Park where they have scored 11 goals this season and putting 5 at the back. What. It's like he's doing it for the bants now honestly. I am a Pearson In guy but, if Pulis/anyone was on the market at the moment I would probably side with the Pearson out brigade

Schwarzer the same. Simpson the same. James & Wasilewski 5, Upson, Konchesky and Kramaric 6. Referee 5. Voted stay but I am edging closer and closer to go.
