Zak Whitbread had about 17points on his licence and never faced a speeding ban and Barry Bannan was driving a Bentley on a provisional licence. To name but two! Embarrasing what they can get away with.
Fox92 Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 Added to the list of nearly every footballer who has been caught speeding then.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 My friend was caught doing 110mph on the A6 and taken to court, all you have to do is say you need your license for your job and bingo - 2 week ban, small fine and no points.
Jon the Hat Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 The daft thing about this, is that those leniency factors apply to a lot of people, whereas Savage is clearly financially capable of hiring a driver for a month. Ridiculous decision.
cambridgefox Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 Makes you Savage. Perhaps a month on public transport a bit of abuse, will put his feet back on the ground from that high pedestal footballers put themselves on ,or as Jon said not on your Nelly. Driver for a month.
ScouseFox Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 his punishment for driving too fast should be that he has to get abused for a month, not that being the reason he shouldn't be punished
Vlad the Fox Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 Does this apply for those who can't use public transport because they hate the public.

ADK Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 99mph in a 70 limit and he got 6 points and a £600 fine, which is what anybody else would have got. APCO guidelines are to issue a summons for speeds above 96mph. So 99mph is only 3 mph into that bracket and anything worse than 6 points would be unlikely, in fact the full 6 points is more than many get. Had he been going 3 mph slower he'd have got 3 points and £100 FPN. The only question mark would be the level of fine, it's supposed to be linked to earnings and I find it hard to believe Savage is earning an average income.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 That doesn't work in France. Shouldn't work here either really, if you're going to drive way above the limit you need to accept that there might be consequences.
Head Honcho Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 Does this apply for those who can't use public transport because they hate the public.
StanSP Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 Just cos he can't share public transport doesn't mean he has to go over 70mph . Since when does that make you speed well over the limit?!
MikeyT Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 Maybe Savage should try being less of a **** and then maybe people wouldn't hate him. And he should be banned from driving. Joke of a result.
Hollism Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 Just cos he can't share public transport doesn't mean he has to go over 70mph . Since when does that make you speed well over the limit?! I think the reasoning is that they can't take his license from him, because he needs his car, and he can't use public transport. Fvcking ridiculous, however they got to that decision.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 I got 3 points and a £100 fine in October for doing 90 on the M5. It's not an excuse but it was 11pm and no one was on the road. He said I was lucky not to get a ban, taught me a lesson though as I need to drive for my job so won't be doing that again.

Fvcking ridiculous, however they got to that decision. I suppose. He may need his car but that still doesn't warrant him being allowed to speed!
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 This calls for a 2Unlimited intervention.
Rincewind Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 what has not being liked on public transport got to do with speeding? i assume nigel pearson travels at super sonic speed going from the abuse he gets from some 'fans'
