Foxhateram Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Hull had 8 yellow cards yesterday, to say that the other team is cheating after that is an absolute joke. As already stated, ironically it was the Hull players surrounding the ref. As for the game, we looked solid at the back and made chances (positives to take) but didn't finish the chances we created. Same old story.

Same old story. They made more chances (and clearer ones) than we did. We were at home. We needed the win more than they did. Discuss? Seriously, there really was nothing positive to take from Saturday mate. We needed to win. We didn't lose. If that's a positive, we are where we deserve to be.
Guest ttfn Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 To be fair I'd be as much of a spoon as Steve Bruce if my nose covered my entire face too.

ThisFvcking awful for saying it really was a "must win" game
eye666 Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 Just caught up on MOTD and Kilbane was spot on. How a rank average footballer can spot that from one match and our management can't is baffling. Width the key yesterday and we made it narrow especially against 10. Still frustrated. At the game my old man thought the pitch looked narrower as well. I didn't notice this myself, but perhaps the game plan (from the groundsman to the players) was to play it narrow?
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 With regard to some media reporting about Martin O'Neill at the game, I'm reliably informed that journalists were briefed by LCFC's press team before kick off that MON was there purely in his capacity as ROI manager to look over some of his international players.
Corky Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 O'Neill won't come back to us, we can put this story to bed.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 O'Neill won't come back to us, we can put this story to bed. Yes, you're right, sadly.
Gerard Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 O'Neill won't come back to us, we can put this story to bed. Why not just for a fire fighting job until the end of the season? Ireland have one game between now and the end of the season. I'm sure it would appeal to O'Neill's ego to come here and save us. It's a shot to nothing as well because if he's a success then it just cements his legacy even further and if we get relegated no blame will be attributed to him at all.

Because he's got a comfortable job at the moment and doesn't need the hassle of a relegation battle that looks increasingly desperate. He's only being talked about because he's an ex manager and a hero to fans who want optimism. There is no logical reason currently that he'll take the job or even be linked to the job.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 18 March 2015 Posted 18 March 2015 Well, if we can't beat Hull at home, just who can we beat? Answers on a postcard please, to Nigel " Get Me Out Of Here" Pearson.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 Sorry, I know some people get angry when old threads are dug up. But just imagine someone telling you after this game that in eight months' time we'd have twice as many points as Chelsea.
Wymsey Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 Well, if we can't beat Hull at home, just who can we beat? Answers on a postcard please, to Nigel " Get Me Out Of Here" Pearson. Are you liking Ranieri now?
Guest ttfn Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 One of the worst City performances I can remember given the occasion.

Guest Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 Are you liking Ranieri now? He doesn't post when we're doing well Wymesy so I wouldn't expect to see him for the rest of the season
ScouseFox Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 He doesn't post when we're doing well Wymesy so I wouldn't expect to see him for the rest of the season he will next post when we are struggling after 3 games in our champs league group next year
Izzy Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 Wow, just reading back some of the comments on this thread. Anger, frustration, resignation, and desperation. How the hell did we go from this in March to top of the league in November! Quite incredible really. I'm not sure we'll ever witness a turnaround quite like this ever again. Astonishing

But just imagine someone telling you after this game that in eight months' time we'd have twice as many points as Chelsea. With only 13 games played (just to give your statement a little different spin).
SystonFox Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 Last game I went to last season. Took me great nan VIP for her 92nd bday. Three corse meal, meet Matt Elliot before hand the bloody lot. Worst game id ever witnessed and my nan bloody loved it. She's got fairly bad onset dementia, ruddy good job

Corky Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 One of the worst City performances I can remember given the occasion. And yet absolutely pivotal in our revival. It was so bad, so negative that the realisation we wouldn't survive playing like that became stark. 50 points and 50+ goals later it is crystal clear what was wrong in our approach.
st albans fox Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 The manager says it was 3-4-3 Never played it before and it showed When is he going to realise that you need some control In the midfield? You have to be able to get decent service into your front men at this level. We are obviously very easy to play against at the KP. The list of average sides that have kept clean sheets is testament to that. Only palace can claim to have been lucky to have kept one. When huddle stone got sent off, we all joked to each other that pearson wouldn't be able to work out what to do. And we were proved right. It's ony three days since mourinho was slaughtered for not playing with width against ten. Seem nige and Craig have been doing something else since Wednesday cos they also made the same mistake. Season definitely over now. The players will not have the mental strength to start winning games now. Spurs and West Ham are not a great start. Three 'hail marys' ! I lost the faith. I can recall the frustration writing those final sentences.
Salieri Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 That's it, i've finally given up hope. Phew, glad to see my post was merely a reluctant, melancholy wave of the white flag rather than a vitriolic outburst that many on here seem to be adept in given the first sign of things going tits up.
