Honestly..who can defend Pearson now

Recommended Posts

Does anyone else think Pearson is sabotaging our season because of the 'firing' fiasco?

Despite the appearance that he is, I think this would be extremely unlikely = ridiculous.

He's just simply not up to it. Simple as.

Great post eveytime anyone on here has posted something negative on here about Pearson certain poster's have tried to ridicule there posts. To be honest it made me laugh then but it makes me laugh even more now.

It has been going on all season..there have been people who have simply refused to even discuss that Pearson may have lost the plot. This has usually been backed by sarcasm and ridicule. I myself have been subject to plenty of it, particularly on the night that Pearson was sacked...but wasn't.

I've been banned on numerous occasions for apparently banging on about how actually we aren't very good and for suggesting certain players have been 'bigged up' out of all proportion, whilst others have been absolutely mullered.

The chickens, it would appear have come home to roost.

To be honest we had a decent start, we had some difficult opponents to face at that stage and despite this we put in some decent performances. Starting off with the draw at home to everton, then going onto stamford bridge where we were unlucky not get at least point, Arsenal we got draw and probably unlucky not to have took all three points, Stoke was next which is normally a difficult place to go and we went there and won and kept a clean sheet and then of course the famous win against Man U. After that we were never the same why?, was it because Pearson got too naive after that result he became a bit too laid back?

The only real reason to defend him and not to fire him is his record in the championship. He has simply failed at his job this season.

Why?

That was then, this is now.

Sven was England manager before coming to Leicester. Would you defend him based on what went before?

Today does feel like the day that the tipping point has been reached with our fans and Pearson. Not sure there's any coming back for him from this point on. Will probably depend what's written in his contract about payments in lieu of notice / survival clause etc as to when he leaves, surely he can't be allowed to continue into next season

We have waited ten years, only to be greeted by some absolute shit.

The Diamond midfield earlier in the season

Not giving Albrighton a chance

Not signing a LB

Sticking with his favourites like Wes & Konch

Poor Substitutions in most games

Benching Wasilewski when he's been our best defender

Not playing Hammond more often

Abusing fans and getting players in headlocks

Playing our strikers out wide, which he has done in the past

Not giving Kramaric & Ulloa a chance to play together

It's been mistake after mistake since September, a depressing pile of shit.

Ill be very happy with Warburton next season. If Pearson is in charge next year ill go shopping with the Mrs instead.

Do a bit of research, he could sort us out. Fresh thinking/tactics, leaving his club this summer.

Out of range of RL coverage today, so listened to commentary on Talksport. Now it's no secret that I ain't Adrian Durham's biggest fan, but he was incredulous that Morgan is picked week in,week out! He'd just made the comment that Wes had dropped a bollock in every game he'd seen him play this term when.......Wes dropped another and let in Jelavic....

Durham's theory is that Huth was brought in to help cover for Wes's moments of ineptitude and was truly stunned that Pearson hadn't simply binned his skipper and played Huth instead!

If we dropped all of our poor defenders we would have a back 2.

Let's be honest, morgan isn't our worst defender. He is definitely better than Moore, Upson and arguably wasilewski.

I wish people would stop scapegoating morgan, it's boring.

Think he's accepted himself that he won't be here next season...Yet again sounded like a man with no idea on how to turn things round..

Keep hearing that the players are still in good spirits on the training ground, yet on the pitch they're reminiscent of Holloway's team, looking like they've accepted that they're going to have a relegation on their CVs!

Yes. In his post march interview (without Stringer haha), he said the team weren't attacking enough and had no thrust going forward.

Well, FFS Pearson, you set the team up in a formation that wasn't ever likely to be attacking. It was bizarre, no one seemed to know what was expected of them

Some of us knew he was clearly out his depth in Nov/Dec and we should have been brave like WBA, Palace and now Villa, but you were just constantly shot down on this site and facebook and accused of being a 'Plastic' one season fan etc, and told how ungrateful you are to the great man, and how it wasnt his fault, it was the players, the director of football, Stringer, the tea lady etc, anyone but the one man responsible for performances and results on the pitch. That brought me to the sad conclusion that a few good seasons (Which they were) had brought Pearson an almost untouchable and critisism free licence, however bad we are/were, and that sadly the majority of fans seem to have such low ambitions and desires for the team that I believe, and it breaks my heart to say this, but a large portion of our fans have accepted second best all season and that has ultimately resulted in a second tier football team, possibly again for some time, and until we actually start thinking like a big football club, and demanding results and performances like a big football club we will continue to sit in the shadows.

Yes. You just can't think of any other explanation to his baffling tactics and arrogant mardy post match interviews. He doesn't like us

I have become utterly sick of Pearson's attitude, his demenaour, his tactics and his team selections. The substitutions he made today were crazy.

I genuinely think he's been putting up the metaphorical two fingers at the fans for bulk of the season.

The defenders of him need to come out of the woodwork and make comment. I'm not mentioning names..but you know who you are.

I've defended him but I turned against him really after palace at home and Nugent up front. Agree with your post entirely. He doesn't like us as a club and as supporters.

As a manager you've got to know what you've got in the squad. NP clearly didn't know at the start of the season and still doesn't. I always gave him credit for being a good coach but he's not that either. Not one player has improved technically all season. Goalkeeping distribution is still poor. Players ability to simply control and kick the ball hasn't improved not one bit all season. Neither has Players movement with and without the ball. These are the things both players and coaches should be working on all week. Along with formations positioning at set pieces etc. Yet we seem to have worked on none of these things.

I'm not so sure anything will improve next season no matter what league we are in. Unless NP has a serious rethink or takes advice from someone else.

With Burnley currently winning at home against Man City then if today's result and the previous however months of below average results don't persuade the owners to get rid of Pearson then nothing will

We've sold out to owners (for all that they've rescued us financially) who know nothing about English football. the leagues or the fans and our passion for our club.

They're business people in it for the business.

I wonder if their desire for an in-road to the Prem to boost their beer sales is still as atteactive as it was a year ago.

Im a fan of Morgan but he has over the last 4 months made a lot of mistakes that would have cost any other player there place, and I dont agree about Was and Moore. Moore was one of our top 5 players first few months and has made no more mistakes than anyone else, but has been poorly treated (Clearly not on his own here), and Was has been our best defender since Xmas. Clearly Morgan has deserved to be dropped (Or 'Rested' if it makes you feel better), but then Pearson doesnt do whats best for the football team does he, the stubborn useless Twat....

The Diamond midfield earlier in the season which saw us earn a few good points from teams such as Everton and Arsenal

Not giving Albrighton a chance and the reason for this is still subject to speculation

Not signing a LB which might as well been down to bad decisions by the management last summer and the lack of players available in January

Sticking with his favourites like Wes & Konch Any other favourites we should know of? I could name you just as many "favourites" that he dropped in the process, such as Nugent, De Laet or even Vardy.

Poor Substitutions in most games That's easy to say in hindsight.

Benching Wasilewski when he's been our best defender Our best defender this season has been Huth, but Wasilewski comes close second - mainly because he's surprised me with his ability to play at this level.

Not playing Hammond more often which might as well have been down to injury or the player not being fit enough

Abusing fans and getting players in headlocks I can think of one fan, not several - and show me the headlock, please

Playing our strikers out wide, which he has done in the past Why no mention of Nugent being played as a centre forward?

Not giving Kramaric & Ulloa a chance to play together Who knows - we might still see them play together in the remaining few games to go.

It's been mistake after mistake since September, a depressing pile of shit.

It's still mathmatically possible to stay up. Sack Pearson tonight.

In fact, why has he not yet been sacked? I left this forum at 6ish hoping that when I came back on he'd be a gone. Even more fuming now than i was earlier. Spinless owners re-instated him when we should have got rid and now they probably really want to sack him they are holding back because of the fiasco last time.

Literally any other club in English football, on this current run, would have sacked their manager. Some in our league did, and it save their season.

Fooked off.

Not once did I think we'd concede today. Huth makes a big difference and Wes and Upson were fine.

No...the problem was at the other end.

WE DO NOT CREATE chances...how many shots on target did we have all game? One or two?

Our midfield to final third is absolutely dire. Even against ten men and a back three containing Alex Bruce and Paul McShane..we looked clueless.

Most of the hostility this season has been aimed against our defence.

For me, we have a massively weak midfield at this level. Our strikers are devoid of chances. Truly devoid of them.

Hull still came a lot closer to scoring than we did.

Yeah being foreign means you're incapable of understanding something as complex as English football, of course. Nice racism bro.
