Collibosher70 Posted 14 March 2015 Author Posted 14 March 2015 To be fair to Pearson most journos are pricks...he just don't help himself saying it on tv
AnotherShitSeason Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Waxing or waning fooking hell. My arse....****. That clip has actually warmed me to him a little for the first time in about 2 years.
johnny the fox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Problem is the jurno's will wined him up all the more now because he bites..and its a good news story.. foolish reaction.
inckley fox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 So what if he called someone a ****? People acting on here like they are whiter than white and have never lost their rag with someone at work. ****ing hell it's like Loose Women in here with some of you lot. Come on, we're not all professionals at the top of a highly public profession, nor paid his sort of wage to behave in a manner befitting our post. This isn't normal behaviour for a top flight manager, it's the behaviour of a man in meltdown, a man who has lost control, a man who can't cope. Results suggest much the same. This is why the Press are already writing the headlines. See The Guardian. And you'll find teachers, policemen, lawyers, judges, politicians, journalists, doctors, nurses all get dragged over the coals when they behave like he has today, or a few weeks ago, or a few weeks before that.
Matt Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 lmao Stringer's on it; Ian Stringer @StringerSport #LCFC - theguardian.com/football/2015/… 2m ago

It's easy enough for people to sit back and say you can't do this and you can't do that. Some of the best managers of all time have made Nigel Pearson look like a pussycat. Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho for a start have a rap sheet far bigger than that of Nigel. As for your comment about others in "public professions" he called someone a ****, he hasn't abused a position of power or threatened another individual, nothing along those lines. It's not even offensive in reality. Massive overreaction from most on here.

Pearson is not far behind now though with his performances over the last few months Falling out with RL FOAD Assaulting opposition players and now swearing at the press. Good work Nige.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Okay now I've watched it I think its hilarious, still should go though... If he wasn't so tactically inept I'd love him.

Does it not concern you that literally everything ever asked to him winds him up?
SecretPro Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 So what if he called someone a ****? People acting on here like they are whiter than white and have never lost their rag with someone at work. ****ing hell it's like Loose Women in here with some of you lot. I've lost my rag at work. Just not every week. Never strangled anyone or called them a **** or told them to **** off and die either though, I also don't get paid £1million+ to be shit at my job.
GingerrrFox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Is it not too much to ask to respond in a dignified way? Does it not concern you that literally everything ever asked to him winds him up? The reporter asked the question and Nigel said "no". The reporter than repeatedly tried to ask the question to which he received the same reply, this time with more short shrift. He's seen us play 3 times this season and was trying to dig at an angle that is completely unjust about our players. The reporter then made the snide remark about waxing or waning, clearly acting a smart ****. Hardly the end of the world. It's not like he's threatened the ****.
Claridge Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 If we dropped all of our poor defenders we would have a back 2. Let's be honest, morgan isn't our worst defender. He is definitely better than Moore, Upson and arguably wasilewski. I wish people would stop scapegoating morgan, it's boring. He's the worst defender by miles. Total waste of a player having him in this stupid back 5

People acting on here like they are whiter than white and have never lost their rag with someone at work. ****ing hell it's like Loose Women in here with some of you lot. Jeez you need to grow up fella. Assuming you have a job, try being offensive and nasty in an interview and see where that gets you

That's what happens in press conferences though. The press are there to get some decent sound bites. There gonna keep pushing for a better answer or for the manager to lose it.
Parafox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 I've lost my rag at work. Just not every week. Never strangled anyone or called them a **** or told them to **** off and die either though, I also don't get paid £1million+ to be shit at my job. If I could give more rep points I would. Surely NP should be aware he's going to get prodded by the press and have the guile to deal with it. He really is being exposed as an ignoramus who hasn't the intellect to manage difficult questioning. Again. It's his arrogant belief that he is right and anyone else is a pleb who doesn't understand football.

Im sorry, but youre talking like an idiot, and i think you know you are. Look at the tone that was used initially. No need for it. Then the usual short shrift. You can deny something without losing your temper. Keep a cool head. You could say all manner of things......"Its a non story as far as im concerned"......."Its disappointing to have that criticism levelled at us"........."No one likes to see the scenes that we saw in the Chelsea game, but these things can happen in the heat of the moment in pressure situations".......... dignified answer. situation diffused. reporter satisfied. It just shows weakness to be so easily riled.
Guesty Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 It's like he thinks by saying that it makes him look in control of the situation. It's such twisted logic (like school kid logic). This is exactly what they want. Now they're all going to be trying to get a reaction out of him. He really is coming across like someone that can't handle adversity.
SecretPro Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Posted this in the other thread but probably more relevant here: So, from time to time we might all want to scream and shout and swear and rant, but for most normal working people, that isn't acceptable in a professional capacity. There are what we would call proper channels to express your disgruntlement. Being the manager of a football club put's you in the media spotlight, being manager of the one rooted to the foot of the premier league more so. Anybody with any dignity, whether they wanted to bite his head of and shit down his neck or not, would have answered the question in a reasoned, responsible and professional way and if there was a retort to be made, might have been a bit clever about it, or just made a 'no comment' gesture. Snapping infront of the awaiting media, swearing like an idiot, and trying to play the intiminating hard man role is not professional. It shows Pearsons lack of personal control, and it shows he is a man on the edge, and that probably shows that if thats all it takes for him to crack and make unhealthy decisions about his behaviour in front of the national press then it's probably not difficult to see how his attitude may have effected performances, subtitutions and decisions relating to his team.
GingerrrFox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 The hypocrisy in here is ridiculous. I bet half of you have shouted worse from the stands. "Yeah but we aren't paid to be the manager of a Premier League football club". Well it's a good job clearly as you wouldn't last 5 minutes with what half of you are coming out with.

I can shout whatever the **** I want from the stands, I've paid to be there. I'm not BEING PAID to be there. It is not my job. Idiot logic.
SpacedX Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 To be fair to Pearson most journos are pricks...he just don't help himself saying it on tv Sad indictment on the media today...but to a certain extent it is their job to behave like pricks. It is however not the job of a premiership football managers to behave like pricks - particularly when their sides are languishing at the bottom of the table. Nigel Pearson is not an astute man and is certainly not media savvy. This season he has proved himself to be as much as a liability off the pitch as he is [indirectly] on it.

"Yeah but we aren't paid to be the manager of a Premier League football club". Well it's a good job clearly as you wouldn't last 5 minutes with what half of you are coming out with. Its about being professional, showing the club in a good light. Its not just about the swearing. His attitude in press conferences is embarrassing. He is like my mrs cant take any criticism at all and once he is in a challenging situation he loses it.
GingerrrFox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 I can shout whatever the **** I want from the stands, I've paid to be there. I'm not BEING PAID to be there. It is not my job. Idiot logic. Haha says it all really. So it's acceptable to shout whatever you want at people doing their job. However it's not acceptable for Nigel to say what he wants to somebody else doing theirs. You have the idiot logic.

I pay many hundreds of pounds to attend games. If I was being paid many thousands of pounds , then no, I wouldn't expect to behave in a manner that could bring my employer into disrepute. not sure what point you are trying to make. it's not like he's been caught just after the game. It's the press conference an hour after full time. He should be able to handle it. End of.
