marko Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 Headline on BBC at the moment is '78 DNA strands identified' Pretty scary how mangled the passengers must've got, I thought the femur was known for being practically indestructible so isolate them at least and youve got your headcount(femur count). Could they have been comepletely vapourised? knock knock. whos there? the pilot, let me in! . . . Sorry I've read a newspaper article that said there's not one body left intact. And, bizarrely, that we shouldn't assume that the co-pilot crashed the plane deliberately as a technical fault can't be ruled out until the second black box is found.
Lionator Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 I could imagine that there would be a lot of pilots who suffer from depression and actually get their release from it by flying.
DennisNedry Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 I know several people with - or who previously suffered with - depression and the only people they wanted to hurt was themselves. There must be more severe psychological issues at play here.
MC Prussian Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 The latest unconfirmed reports state that Laubitz had anger issues and tended to be a control freak in private life, too. He also appeared to have eyesight problems which could've cost him his license. If you put the reports together - regular friends describing him as "normal, nice, quiet and funny" and then listen to what his alleged former girlfriends have to say, he strikes me as being very much on the manic side of things. Which, alongside his bouts of depression, hints at a bipolar disorder.
Rincewind Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Katie Hopkins has jumped on the bandwagon on her 'expert' opinion on depression on Twitter saying its the new in illness craze and people should 'get over it' Never knew she had medical qualifications too along with her others. With the pilot we may not know the full extent. People with mental issues don't alwaysshare how they are feeling. If he was holding back is it possible to go from depressive to anger moods? I am asking as a non-expert.
Maybes Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Katie Hopkins is nothing but a media grabbing whore. Anything she states is purely to get herself back in the headlines.
bovril Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Meh. Sociopathic, bullshitting media whores are ten-a-penny these days.

Stadt Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Anybody who gets wound up by Katie Hopkins is a moron.
MPH Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Foxestalk thread descends into posters getting their knickers in a twist shocker....
Rincewind Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 She'll come a cropper when her 'celebrity status' becomes stale. She would not last in a normal working enviroment. Winds too many people up. Best ignored.
Guest MattP Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Anybody who gets wound up by Katie Hopkins is a moron. Nail on head.
Jimothy Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Anybody who gets wound up by people getting wound up by Katie Hopkins is a moron.
Guest MattP Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Anybody who gets wound up by people getting wound up by Katie Hopkins is a moron. Anyone who takes any notice of her is an idiot. Although I suspect the left secretly like it when she speaks as they can convince themselves all the right thinks like her. Like the opposite of Russell Brand.
Finnegan Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 I'm glad you added that last line. Really, every which side does the same.
purpleronnie Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Bit of an odd thing to say, you might as well say 'anyone who gets wound up about other peoples opinions is a moron'. If it angers you it angers you.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Who gives a sh*t what that old bint thinks about anything, seems to me she's just playing a caricature of herself to get attention, and it doesn't half work.
Webbo Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Bit of an odd thing to say, you might as well say 'anyone who gets wound up about other peoples opinions is a moron'. If it angers you it angers you. Why does it anger you though? She has no power at all, her opinions are no more important than anyone on here. whatever she says has zero impact on anyone's life.
Jimothy Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Anyone who takes any notice of her is an idiot. Although I suspect the left secretly like it when she speaks as they can convince themselves all the right thinks like her. Like the opposite of Russell Brand. Not being funny, but haven't you pretty much just labelled youself an idiot, seeing you amongst other spend weeks on end getting in a tizz about stuff Russell Brand was spouting. You seemed pretty convinced Brand spoke for the left and lambasted him at every opportunity. Now the shoes on the other foot and the right have an idiotic self appointed bullshit spouter and you're calling everyone on the left stupid because they'll think she speaks for you all, when that's exactly the same as you were doing with Brand. No offence meant, just saying.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 If they do go down the route of making the depression angle telling, the airlines that is, then all that will happen is anyone who ever wants to be a pilot and has depression simply won't get the help they need and hide it, and I don't see how that's a positive thing.
purpleronnie Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Why does it anger you though? She has no power at all, her opinions are no more important than anyone on here. whatever she says has zero impact on anyone's life. It doesn't anger me at all, she's a tool and he views are laughable, I agree it has no impact on my life but that's my point, why single her out as someone you shouldn't get angry about?, I'm sure you must get pissed off with things other people say occasionally?.
Webbo Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 It doesn't anger me at all, she's a tool and he views are laughable, I agree it has no impact on my life but that's my point, why single her out as someone you shouldn't get angry about?, I'm sure you must get pissed off with things other people say occasionally?. Not really. I bitched a bit about Russell Brand but he's campaigning for stuff and trying to change things he doesn't understand. All Katy Hopkins does is ridicule people.
bovril Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Not really. I bitched a bit about Russell Brand but he's campaigning for stuff and trying to change things he doesn't understand. All Katy Hopkins does is ridicule people. Wait, ridiculing people is better than campaigning?!
purpleronnie Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 Not really. I bitched a bit about Russell Brand but he's campaigning for stuff and trying to change things he doesn't understand. All Katy Hopkins does is ridicule people. well in that case you're unique, I always though you were special Webbo.
Webbo Posted 30 March 2015 Posted 30 March 2015 I've always said about Katy Hopkins that she only exists because people want to be offended. She posts something on twitter and then the thousands of people who follow her will retweet this to their friends so they can say how offended they are.The more offended they are, the more morally superior they feel. Sorry, I'm not interested.
