Next season who would you like to see come in?

I wonder if we've got an outside chance of someone like Gignac, who's available on a free.

His wages would be big but we're going to have to consider expanding the wage structure a bit. Seems to be linked with teams like West Ham and West Brom and, if we stay up, that's the kind of level we should be aspiring to reach through consistent results next season.

We certainly monitor out-of-contract players across Europe so, if not him, wouldn't be surprised if we pick up someone else fairly high-profile on a free.

Would not want Chester. Our defence is looking better because of its physical dominance as much as anything else. Chester is just too small.

Gignac is someone I've been wondering about for a few years, seems comfortable in France. He's pushing 30 now though although has a proven track record. Not seen to much of him, is he more than just your bog standard target man?

If we're only going to bring one more striker in I'd rather it be someone a bit younger and more mobile, hence Hernandez or Nolito. Gignac would be a good second choice on a free though.

I'm not sure why we've got all these strikers shouts, we're a little overcrowded in that department and I suspect Kram will be featured a lot more next season with him having settled in by that time, so in a sense he'll basically be our new signing.

I think it's just some people looking for an upgrade and a few more goals with Ulloa as our only real goalscorer this season. It looks like we'll be playing with 3 across the front so seeing a top striker come in to supplement or even replace someone like Nuge would be handy.

Personally I think we should be looking at:

Huth

CB (Jonny Evans)

LWB (Digne)

RWB (Trippier)

Cambiasso (another year)

CM (Sissoko)

ATT (Possibly. Hernandez/Gignac/Nolito)

They would replace...

Upson

Konchesky

Simpson

Wood

Taylor-Fletcher

Knockaert

Hammond or Nugent (possibly)

Take Austin all day and night. Would love Pritchard, Patrick Roberts and trippier. That's taking into consideration that Huths done and dusted (not IDK just praying)

Still not featuring fully for a poor Fulham team. One to keep an eye on though.

You can't beat top flight experience, as evidence by the impact of Huth, Cambiasso and Albrighton. I think we need more of it in every single position. For me, no-one is safe. We are financially sound and can spend as much money as we need to within reason.

I think most important would be at least one centre-back, certainly two if we can't lure Huth (he will get offers from other clubs). I'd have a full-back in one both sides. A DM, maybe a young one that could learn from Esteban who I think will sign for another year. Another centre-mid with a bit of craft. Another winger or two and one more attacker. Yeah. Probably in descending order of importance.

I'd like to see an academy grad or two step up as well. Cain and Chilwell seem the most likely somehow.

What do people think of Jonny Evans?

Pos

Experience in Prem + Champs League

Decent

Surplus requirements

Utd Pedigree

Transfer fee should be affordable (£7.5m?)

Neg

May want European football

Wages could be too high

I'd be happy with Huth, a LB like Mings (preferably one who isn't such a self-worshipping bell), a RB, and a central midfielder. Possibly a Knocky-type player if Knocky goes.

Injury prone and error prone, there's probably cheaper, more reliable players out there.

SSN are reporting that 3 PL teams are set to move for Nedum Onuoha. Could we be one of the? Would you want him?

I reckon he's worth a shout. Can play anywhere Long the back. Would play well in a back three. At 29,isn't the oldest. Wouldn't coat the world to get.

Thoughts?

Not Sissoko....showed last week that he hasn't got the 'bottle for a battle' that we need..Can't see Collocini leaving SJP for another English club! We know Nigel rates Chester, but his progress seems to have stalled in the last year or so.

Huddlestone's a difficult one. Gets a real 'Marmite' reaction from the Hull fans, an asset when things are going well, but a liability when thet aren't !!

Sissoko is ****ing class. Alright he wasn't at his best but he was just coming back into the team wasn't he? Either way I don't think you can hold individuals accountable for that shit show. He will have many many options next year if Newcastle are selling, can't see us having a chance but if we did we should obviously take it!

How is that Argentinian lad doing at Villareal?

Is it possible he would be back on our radar or has he moved on to better things?

Vietto? Last I heard he was signing for a bigger Spanish team. I think it was Valencia or atletico
