If we are not involved in a chase for this lad i'd be annoyed!

If Stoke and Everton are competing for Traore I don't see why we can't.... that £10.5 mill release clause is crazy too!

Stoke and everton are top 10 teams aiming for Europe next season, Leicester will not be able to compete with them if all parties are interested. He'd be a cracking signing for any team in the league imo

Reading about all our prospective signings it seems we'll also need language coaches. I'm all for an international outlook but there's hardly an Englishman mentioned.

Either it's a big condemnation of the coaching set-up from infant school upwards or the natives are being shit on again.

Sadly I think it's the former.

If health and safety gets any more influence here, we won't be able to fart without being charged with violent conduct and that's no way to compete in sport or war. And there'll be plenty of both in the years to come.

Completely with you all on the fact he's brilliant and probably out of our league. Would just be nice to know if we are trying for deals like this, Barca B and teams like that are gold mines!

2 players of the same standard. Both capable Premiership level with experience of playing in the best leagues in Europe.

One is English, one isn't.

You'll pay a hell of a lot more for the English guy.

Tom Huddlestone.

Christ no....

Totally immobile and one goal all season last term I think.

Only get Tommy in IF we compliment him with a real DM to do the running.

It would be an incredible signing and the exact profile of player I would like us to sign.

Sampdoria who aren't as rich as us and finished 7th last year in the Serie A and they are interested.

Surely we could compete with them?

After our MF fiasco when we've had more knock backs than a sausage roll at a Bar Mitzvah I wouldn't count on it though.

If we made a bid i'm sure we would have a great chance of getting him.

I think we're not going to get these players and would need to offer them something spectacular.

What I would do is offer them good wages that are based to a loyalty bonus and a minimum release clause in their contracts.

For example if we signed Balanta or Charles Aranguiz for £10m:

4 year deal

£50k a week

A minimum release fee of £15,000,000 that kicks in after 12 months

And a big loyalty bonus after 24 months

That way if they are a success then they have their choice of bigger clubs for a relative small fee.

We get the player we want and improve our profile and position and at least make a profit if they're a success.

We're unlikely to get these players if they are contracted for four years when they believe they are top class players. This way they can get into the shop window of Europe.

I wouldn't be disappointed if we signed Valero.

Boateng I wouldn't go near with a 100 mile long bargepole. He's everything we need to avoid.
