foxfan92 Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Probably wishful thinking but with all the players Man Utd are signing (particularly in defence - they're hoping to sign a world class defender like Ramos - and midfield) I wonder if we'd manage loaning someone like Smalling or Jones? I know Smalling in particular gets a lot of stick but outside the top 4 he'd still be a great person to have in your defence. Personally the player I'd love us to get though would be Carrick. It's surely going to be limited game time for them this season with Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin commanding the midfield.

Carrick was one of there better players last season and with them in the champions league they need more than them two, if he was to leave he'd surely go back spurs or at least a top 8 club. Smalling and Jones are both internationals and wouldn't just be loaned out, again would be an Everton or someone if it was ever to happen. Blackett is about as realistic as it would get from them, least it would be good for Vardy at training
Spicer Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 United now have 3 senior right backs. Darmain, Valencia and Rafael. Van Gaal used Valencia at RB last season and looked good. So I think Rafael would be available.
